i want 3k3y ripper to rip ps3 to iso
3k3y ISO Tools aka 3k3y Ripper
thanks for reply but
i can not register there what is the nup mean in the site ,,, if you have direct download pl z confirm
What is your setup. The ripper needs a dvd drive to rip the discs.
lg blu ray writer
This application works only on fw 3.55. And not all ODDW can make disc image from original PS3 BD-ROM disc.
Also I don't see a reason to getting such image and decrypting it other than projects like ReDump. For daily use, everyone making decrypted, rearranged ISO images directly on PS3. Using i.e MultiMAN for dumping and Cobra for mounting.
@jarmster DVD drive will not read Blu-Ray discs... So no, he doesn't need it. He need at least Blu-Ray drive...
I use to rip discs with a pata ripper from 3k3y and I used it with an old Blu-ray drive for a ps3 I bought online. It made things easier.
i misspoke when i said dvd. I used it until i figured out that i could create an iso from a JB dump with 3k3ys Isotools. I know I was able to play an unencrypted iso aswell. I'm not sure why, I can't remember. It was set up originally that the ode could only play an encrypted iso but something changed. I play the same unencrypted iso on my cobra ode aswell.
I have assumed he uses CFW because of mention of drive key reader which works only on 3.55 and is not needed for peoples with ODDE but needed for containers decryption on PC.
No it used to be only 3.55 but there is a 4.30 PKG that I have gotten to work as well on 4.76 as I am a moderator of Trurip and that is the software we use to obtain the drive key then our proprietary software for true 1:1 backups. I have submitted over 80 of my own games using this method.
@atreyu187 Oh, have You link to it?
BTW: How database contain contributions? Checksum for *.iso + what and in what form?
I don't see PS3 on a list ;] http://database.trurip.org/index.php?page=mnu-Database-Software-List&filter=0
PS3 we have't made public yet due to no real viable emulator but with RCPS3 moving along it won't be long. And you can't contribute without being a dumper I am afraid. ReDump took Truong's Trurip software back when it was released and simply hexedited it to make TruDump and didn't bother to credit the author and stole the code. From that point on he went closed source and each build of the Trurip software for each dumper. Depending on the system it can be as easy as having a compatible drive and the software. A Plextor drive for DVD and CD media is used but some systems like the Xbox and its arcade counterparts require a hardware dongle as well, newer systems like Xbox 360 & PS3 use the systems optical drive hooked to the PC to dump games due to the complex nature of the drives firmwares on board. The plus side of these rips are they can be booted on a fully retail system with no softmod required.
I have once made disc image of Mirror's Edge on PC and compare it to dump made on PS3 by direct disc access in MultiMAN (just for curiosity ;p). Also I decrypt it successfully. So my LG is compatible. I don't want contribute anything, I don't have time for it, I just asking because I'm curious in what form disc image is held in database. As I remember from few years ago, there was postulates to merging iso with additional datas and "checksume it" such Frankenstein. So I'm curious what peoples doing today.
They are CloneCD CCD containers and format which is submitted. The binaries come encrypted and decrypted format.
