We seen the return of darkjiros and his DARKNET CFW with the release of his Standard CEX version of CFW last week. Now the CFW developer has a COBRA (v7.3) CFW for release, we have seen several Cobra CFW builds and for the most part they are very functional but have come with some issues regarding PS2 pliability on certain models. However, darkjiros opted to use as quoted "Ps2_gxemu.self, ps2_netemu.self OFW 4.80 and 4.81 are the same. So I used the file of Rebug 4.80.1 as it is.". This is what SPY CFW did with his earlier CFW release as well, which has had positive reports using the 4.80 emu. View the latest details and features and plenty of test pics and video of some of the features in action.

Good afternoon friend, with that of cfw to play online?

Not more nor less safe than usual... It's still recommended to use psnpatch or SEN Enabler.
In theory, if you are looking for the safest possible cfw to play online, it would be an unmodded standard CEX not a Cobra release.
However in practice, many people play online using highly modified Rebug CFW...
If you use psnpatch or SEN properly, you should not worry so much about PSN itself but more about the game servers you are using. With some games, there is still a ban risk especially with modded games...

Thanks for the reply, I always used to rebug and sen enable and never had a problem ... But the rebug ta taking. This has the same security rebug?

If you are used to Rebug & prefer to wait (like many of us) for their next release before updating, you could remain on 4.80.1 & just spoof firmware version with SEN Enabler 6.0.3. You only need to apply the fw version spoof once then you are done. Note that it's recommended to remove the version spoof before updating the CFW.

The only unknown for the moment is the use for this newly included certificate in 4.81...

If you are desperate to update, this Cobra release will serve you well. It is no less safe than Rebug to play online AFAIK..

in what ways do they modify rebug? and how?

No, I meant that Rebug REX is a very modified cfw compared to a simple standard CEX CFW...
In theory, the more a CFW is different from standard CEX, the more chances of detection there should be...

Yo! I Need Some Help Here! I updated from Rebug 4.80.1 to this but it reset my console I.D. to the original, which is banned, but this CFW does not support CCAPI 2.70, so I can't unban myself, and Q.A. Flag is enabled, so I can't downgrade to anything... Kinda... If I try to go back to Rebug 4.80.1 (CEX & DEX both), it says it's currupted the second it starts downloading the update data from my usb, and it does this with every CFW (and it just won't detect 3.55 OFW or 3.55 Kmeaw) What do I do!?

Install webman and put your new console id there via setup menu.
If you want CcApi, enstone release new update which support 4.81 CFWs.

Which is normal when you updating CFW without updating homebrew.

CCAPI is worst idea to change IDPS, using CCAPI and going online is not safe. Use webman, OR psnpatch for that.

So Q.A. flag is disabled, no enabled.
Use habib Q.A. Toggle or Rebug Toolbox (if is showing enabled, then enable and disable again).

After some problems with FERROXcobra 1.01 sincronizing joysticks at system start, i decided to install this one and zero problem.
      Thanks.

You can use IDPSet to permanently install your IDPS/PSID/CID which would mean you aren't dependant on any app. It has next to no brick risk. A soft brick is possible but really only if using DEX which you are not so no worries. It is as simple as editing a text file and only needed once. Much easier then my old guide doing it manually. It writes to a section of your NOR/NAND that doesn't carry any issues. I have purposely written a bad IDPS to test with my flasher and just prevents PSN access. Tested on a NAND based system which is super easy to get a hard brick. I suggest using @Zar s IDPSet to do this. It's the safest easiest route to ensure your system is "future" proof for updates.
