Hello, when using E3 flasher on another ps3, what buttons must be down or up to reset e3 so I get no errors from using it from a past console?

You need to update your E3 Flasher with the older firmware [known as SAMSUNG]

you don't need to reset anything with this

Yup pretty much, there's button on top of the e3 flasher, but tbh you don't really need to reset anything for other consoles.

Tried again didn't take update this time and got bad dumps again. Maybe it's the wrong Samsung file?

Bad dump means your connection is bad, normally without SAMSUNG FW, you can't even get any dump at all but blinking LED with error log

Your clip issue, if all the 8 LEDs are on that means it's trying to dump, it usually blinks when it fails because of the FW.

You need to reseat the clip

Fitting the clip properly is the most important point to make a valid dump!
Believe or think is not enough!
You must check it...when you reseat properly it perhaps makes a 'click' noise...

If your device is SLIM then you can use a manual clamp or sg like that to make pressure to the clip and keep good contact during the whole method..

Reseat the clip better! It's a classic & recurrent mistake...
And you should also maybe check that no pin is bent.. After several failed attempts you may have damaged the clip?
Be gentle & note that using a clamp usually helps...

I already had problems with the micro SD card, in HxD, the values of Nor were F.
    The card was defective

? If the clip has not been shaved down properly and it's not making good contact then the dump can be FF filled
If you had a bkpps3.bin and a e3 log then that's not a defective sd card but a clip issue
As EVERYONE keeps telling you check the clip
It's the usual suspect in 99% of cases
