Anyone that is also following the PS4 scene right now should be aware that they have worked out how to get the PS4 browser to cache their exploit pages and payloads using HTML5 appcache.

Does anyone know if we can pull the same trick on the PS3? Will the browser support caching in this way?

Answering my own question. C0d3m4st4 put a test file together and it didn't work. Oh well.

You need to take into consideration that the ps3 webkit relies on an interpreter & not JIT. On top, the included webkit features are very limited unlike the ps4 version, which directly impacts the number of usable vulnerabilities.
As a result, to my knowledge, none of the currently used ps4 webkit exploits are applicable to the ps3.
