    UPDATE: 4.82 DEX Supported Added
Developer @aldostools has recently updated the Backup Manager IRISMAN (fork of Iris Manager) to version 4.82 with 4.82 CFW Support. This backup manager is feature rich and has alot of functionality, FTP support for transferring files from your PC to your PS3 via your local network, a very functional File Manager (pics included below) for the PS3, Also the homebrew has the MAMBA loader incorporated into the manager, which MAMBA is a payload with features similar to Cobra CFW, but MAMBA can be applied to Standard CEX CFW's. IRISMAN like many of the PS3 Backup Managers have so many features to list, just have to use them and view all the functionality yourself. IRISMAN has been a great homebrew that continues to get support from developer Aldostools.

Why not? What's the use of any app, I know some that actually wanted these. You never know who wants what? When I start IRISMAN it's only for the file manager as I mount games through webMAN

Hey aldos first of all thanks for your work i was wondering if it's possible to use your fan control utility aka SM.Manager as a single plugin that can be stored in plugins folder that can be launched during boot without using irisman? my question about this is because i think compared to webman's dynamic fan control sm.manager has a best use of fan speeds in temperature ranges and takes the system much more time to get to high temperatures not being the case with webman when setting up max temp with dynamic control and setting the fan to a minimum of 46% after playing a couple of minutes to tlou wich is a heavy game the fan looks like a jet and i get temperatures of 73c to 74 but if i set the same minimum speed using sm.manager gui and put different increasing values my ps3 never get's above 70c i have been testing this using both webman and irisman to be sure and i can confirm that sm.manager is way far better because of it's low increasing of speeds helping the console to keep cooler accordding to user's settings.

Yes, you can use the file generated by IRISMAN as standalone plugin or download this sprx:

Ah great! Is there any way to edit speed values like a config file or fancontrol.dat because when i use this file as a standalone plugin and i turn on the ps3 something weird is happening i can monitor the temps holding select+L2 but i get 0% speed not happening with irisman.
i've also made sure to deactivate webman dynamic fan control before in order to avoid conflicts between each plugin.

Hmmm I think the 0% is due Estwald designed the plugin to be launched by Iris Manager (IRISMAN).

I just checked the source code and sm plugin uses an internal table of speeds for different ranges of temperatures that is read directly from an area of the memory that is initially set and maintained by IRISMAN.

To set the proper ranges of temperature & speeds, it is necessary to first launch IRISMAN, unless the plugin is modified to also read the values directly from /dev_hdd0/game/IRISMAN00/config/fancontrol.dat

At this moment, I don't have plans to make changes to that plugin.
So, please do not use sm.sprx as standalone plugin until someone update it.

The SM was designed initially to work as an extension of the miralatijera "core"
That miralatijera "core" was like a replacement of cobra, is hooked in the bootchain of the PS3

And (not sure if initially or later) the SM plugin (that does the fancontrol but was intended to make other additional things) was added compatibility to change the speed settings from iris
I guess this is why SM and iris shares a common area in ram... is to change that speed settings

The core+SM is still mantained and updated by @_Slash_ there are new versions that has been ported to 4.82

Did you try the pkg above with Cobra enabled? Or try deleting /dev_hdd0/game/IRISMAN00/USRDIR/mamba

With cobra enabled everything is ok!
      Thanks for your help!
