Well seems developer frangarcj developer that has really gotten RetroARCH where it is today with the dynarec working & the video filters for Adrenaline has a new plugin for our Vita's or PSTV but this time it was built around the taiHEN framework. Move over Better Amphetamin as here comes a new challenger to take its place as the best way to fully maximize your systems full potential.
Has support for decrypted and encrypted games, this means we no longer have to dump our carts just to overclock the system. While the previous plugin did as well but it was still a little buggy. Best of all this can work for emulators as well. Not sure if something must be added on the EMU side but since he is the main active contributor to RetroARCH I think it may already be added so grab the latest nightly build first.
So far all the issues Better Amphetamin had seem to be ironed out as this was built from scratch with taiHEN in mind instead of trying to adapt from the HENkaku plugin. This seems to be the issue with the older version so this app is a breath of fresh air.
Now let's see what the man behind the magic has to say as this is a truly talented developer.
taiHEN plugin for overclocking your PSVita
- Put "oclockvita.suprx" in 'tai' folder in the root of your Vita.
- Change config.txt in that directory to load plugin for title of your choice by adding new lines like below:Code:# titleid for your game (this one is for Root//Letter for example) *PCSB01019 ux0:tai/oclockvita.suprxAfter that just run the game and press SELECT + UP to enable menu. Press SELECT + DOWN to close menu.

VitaShell 1.50/1.51 Released by TheFl0w, Now with USB Access
Well seems developer TheFl0w is back with a new update to his popular application VitaShell with v1.50 and now v1.51 was pushed the next day to fix issues that came around to deliver something Sony blocked from us USB access to our memory cards. No longer are we stuck using the DRM ridden Content Manager Assistant or as we know it (Q)CMA. This allows much faster file transfer over the prior option of FTP access, which BTW is still possible as we can toggle between USB and FTP. This is needed as it seems Vita TV/PSTV users out in the cold as this is only for the Vita HENkaku user base. If you try you will be greeted with this lovely screen.Continue reading
