So in the past couple of weeks, the PlayStation Classic has been the center stage for the major release disaster, people around the world, bashing the mini-console, for running poorly than an original PS1, framerate issues, poor selection of games, mediocre build-quality and many other.

Now to put even more fuel to the fire, twitter user @AlphaFoxWarfare, made some digging into the source code for the PlayStation Classic, and to his surprise, there was originaly suppose to be a catalog of 36 Games in total, but Sony cheaped out on the mini-console and delivered only 20 games, few of which are considered big-hits amongs the PlayStation fans, ditching 16 games.

A list of there unreleased 16 games are as follow:

    • Chocobo’s Mysterious Dungeon (NTSC-J)
    • Colin McRae Rally
    • Crash Bandicoot
    • Crash Bandicoot 2
    • Toy Story 2
    • Driver
    • Ehrgeiz
    • Fighting Force
    • Gran Turismo
    • GTA 2
    • Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone
    • Kagero (NTSC-J)
    • Klonoa
    • Kula World
    • Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver
    • Medal of Honor
    • MediEvil
    • Mega Man Legends
    • Mr. Driller G (NTSC-J)
    • Paca Paca Passion (NTSC-J)
    • PaRappa the Rapper
    • Parasite Eve
    • RayStorm
    • Ridge Racer
    • Silent Hill
    • Spec Ops: Stealth Patrol
    • Street Fighter Alpha 3
    • Street Fighter EX Plus Alpha
    • Suikoden
    • Tomb Raider
    • Tomb Raider 2
    • Tomba
    • Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2
    • Vagrant Story
    • Wild Arms 2
    • Xevious 3D/G+

This list of choice would be much better than the one we have currently and it would boost the PS Classic sales significantly.

Well thats a start, it just need a new injection code into the emu and its pretty much done, i bet even the original 20 games aren't eating the 16Gb eMMC storage, well apart from games like Final Fantasy and Metal Gear Solid which are 1Gb plus, but i have to see theyre file sizes to make some calculations.

If we be able to launch any code, stock emu could be replaced/omit, so maybe we will be able to create our own frontend and our own pcsxrearmed build. Which means, maybe, just maybe it will be sufficient power to use some compression like ECM or PSAR (so, more games would fit into internal storage).
