Hi guys, like everyone else last week I installed the PS3Xploit 3.0 on my PS3 and so far I'm really enjoying.

The thing is, I got an oportunity to trade my PS3 CECH-3000 for a PS3 CECH-2100, in which I could install CFW on, but today when I tried to format my PS3 in hope of removing everything related to the exploit and let the system as if it was new, I couldn't remove the "Install Package file" no matter what, I tried every option on the PS3 safe menu but it just doesn't go away.

Is there any way to remove this item from the XMB?

Really appreciate all the effort and work you guys have been putting on this.

The easiest thing right now to reinstall the OFW 4.82 via external storage device.

You just need to reinstall the firmware from the recovery menu

Ok, that is to enter the recovery, but which of the options should I use to install the OFW from a USB memory? Thank you very much for answering.

To remove HAN Toolbox you only need to delete it from game data utility and then reboot. No need to reinstall fw and HAN files.

    P. S. If you xploit again, and you have not removed it, it will just appear again anyway as it's on the HDD.

Every console have manual, just read it... If You don't have it in paper form, there are also official online tutorials and official manuals in PDF to download.

I deleted the data, but I still have the Package Manager folder. And I updated the console, the games after downloading from PSN just do not appear in the menu. What to do?

I've decided that there's no point having 2 modded PS3's since I already have a CFW 2503A. To restore the 3003A to stock, do I basically just delete HAN toolbox from the game data folder and update to 4.83? I'd prefer to use this one for my official PSN account and use a different account for the CFW console, just to be on the safe side.

Well package manager is not part of HAN Toolbox, You must have updated to 4.83 over the internet? which is not the same as doing it via usb. So that is why package manager is still there, it is part of the firmware now since you used HAN installer. Anyway it easy fix, if you update from USB using the full PUP (approx. 200MB) it will get you back to standard XMB with no mods.

You might need to update from recovery mode if it tells you that you are already up to date.

Note if you are not already on 4.83 then updating to 4.83 will block you from using HAN again, no way to downgrade.

You should probably do a full system restore too to make sure there are no traces of exploits left on the HDD.
