While the RetroArch (PS3) nightly build from 10/06 was a significantly improved version for the PS3 compared to a few builds prior, it did however contain a bug with the vba_next libretro core that was preventing GameBoy Advance emulation. Developer @Ezio who maintains the PS3 port discovered and fixed the issue with the release of this latest nigthly. A CEX / DEX version was released for CFW user's and also a CobraODE version was released for the limited user's who use the Optical Drive Emulator.

Could we get a mirror for the CEX download? Sendspace is very slooooooooooow!

Sendspace seems fine to me. It downloaded quite fast.

Anyway here is a Mega link:

Sorry for the sendspace link, it was for a guy having issues with mega...

Anyway there's also a fix for glui that was enough bad/almost unusable in the previous nightly and there's a bit of new stuff by libretro devs, basically font refactor now allows to use double text on the menu, you can see it on the video and the audio settings.(wip)

Another good improvement is that you don't get screwed submenus when trying to use the download feature (not working yet), you can get a kind message warning you that the task is failed.

Figures, the one time I don't have to request a mirror (thanks, @Ezio), someone else does. :)

Anybody get the O2EM core to run games? It loads, but there doesn't seem to be a way past the Select Game screen.

O2EM core requires a keyboard to play, so you need to plug it to ps3 via usb i guess.

I kinda figured that, although in the Controls menu you can apparently map keyboard buttons to the controller, but they don't seem to work.

RetroXMB seems to be working well with this version. Some things are needed to prevent overwriting of certain parts of the CFG file that will make the rom not boot on next play. Still need to test a few things As things like changing the cores and not setting your option to not save on exit to CFG file will make it not work, but there is some easy things you can do in the CFG file to reduce things, such as changing the cores path to root of HDD. Good news they work and they work well, but there is some difference from previous version that will require some editing for previous pkgs. .
