Well i haven´t touched a PSVITA in a while since 2011, as i sold it one year later, but i am about to get one again.

I know the main downside of the VITA where the darn Memory Cards, which even in 2011 i remember i payed a fortune for a 8Gb one, not to mention in 2018 they are still expesive as [email protected]!

So ive heared about this neat little gadget called SD2VITA, which basically allows the PSVITA to use regular SD Cards, but ive seen people mention you need Henkaku in order to work, due to the TAI file extension on the VITA.

So i wanted to keep the VITA as original as possible, meaning to use my PSN Account, linked to my PS3/PS4 due to Remote Play, and many games i own for this system.

Now my question is, its possible somehow to use the SD2VITA with a OFW PSVita or you need Henkaku in order for the VITA to recognise the SD Card, even with the TAI File Extension added!?

PS: I dont recall on what firmware the VITA is on,as the seller cannot describe it, i know on 3.65 Henkaku Enso can be installed .

actually, since gamesd or storage manager are kernel plugins, you need ensou as normal henkaku won't work nor will ofw.

edit ensou allows those kernel plugins to run at boot.

Ehh just wait by the end of this year , TheFlow will release a hack for 3.65 - 3.68
3.65 will have enso , but anything newer won't.
Anyways enso is nothing but the ability to run Hb on boot, so if you can't get enso it's like having a psp incompatible with cipl , you'll just have to run the exploit again when you completely turn off your vita (not to be confused with sleeping)
Anyways the flow won't release the hack now because he doesn't want Sony to patch it , so he can hack a newer firmware like 3.69 ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) or 3.70.
Why I'm telling you that is because you can sign in to psn with 3.65 using a DNS trick and you can easily access it on 3.68 .

I would mate, but i wont risk a 8 year old PSN account, for a DNS trick hahahahahhaha

If it doesnt work, will use Henkaku Enso, the darn memory cards are just too expesive for my tastes, not to mention the VITA itself ;)

You need to be on 3.60 to install Enso or hack your Vita afaik. 3.65 has no entry point at this time. 3.65 is only hackable if you are coming from 3.60.

@atreyu187 told me that the prototype for the vita contained a micro sd card reader, but Sony was stupid and went with proprietary memory cards instead.

Yes thats true, the Prototype for the PSVITA dubbed the DEM-3000H84, took full size SD Cards, but Sony switched to theyre proprietary Sony Memory Card, with insane price tags.

I remember when i got my PSVITA back in 2011, i got a 4Gb Card for 19,99€,as mostly my games where all physical, i didnt bother with the space too much, but now that i sold all of it back in 2013, and re-bought the games in Digital Format, i dont think 4Gb will be enough, not to mention that the memory card prices hasnt got down since 2011, but up, specially in the used market ;)

With so many hours, games and trophies, it would be foolish to do so hahahahaha ;)

yeah, afaik, the 64GB cards are JP only, so the demand was high and the supply was dwindling. atreyu also told me that there was a 128GB card in the works. can you imagine the price of one of those things!?

The VITA WI-FI model was 299€ at launch, i got the WI-FI/3G Model for 349€,so i can imagine the 128Gb Card go around 179€ or even 249€, half or even a full price of the PSVITA :D
