    Hey guys

Do you remember the good old days of psp modding?

and almost all the CXMB themes having the SMOOTH SCROLL?

I think ps3 needs it too

is anyone capable of? its just a hex in a PRX, yeap i know things are different here... but maybe quite the same

First time i see it, heheh, in PS3 there are lot of references to "PAF", im not sure what means that letters but it has the same purpose than in PSP, is some kind of interface to display icons and stuff in screen, there are even VSH exports/imports for them and other references inside RCO files... so well all i can said is something generic closelly related with RCO

In PS3 there are 3 .sprx files that seems related:
    -paf_ext.sprx
-paf_psjs.sprx <--- this one is for "playstation javascript" used by RAF format (coldboot and dynamc themes)
    -paf_web.sprx

Maybe that values modifyed in the link you posted with a tutorial for PSP are used also in PS3... but ive not seen people reversing this .sprx in PS3 so are going to be hard to find

    Edit:
I just realized from this screencapture it can be seen the legth of the values (4 bytes each for the ones you are looking for), and the fact that two of them are located consecutivelly
    [IMG]

So in PSP there is a 200 (0xC8 in hex) stored at offset 0x1014 and inmediatly after another 200 at 0x1018

So you can try with this search pattern: 0x000000C8000000C8 (in big endian for PS3)

Yep =(, i miss the ability to fully custom the XMB, i thought when ps3 got hacked we would see amazing modifications and plugins
    but no one was interested.

The psp has more them 100 plugins and 9999cft themes, and most of them are limited due its memory, so i was hoping PS3 would be even amazing =(

Seems like i'm the only one who are interested in this area and themed most of rcos

I was also hoping this would be brought to ps3, talked about it several times but looks like there isnt much interest on it, i dont have the skills for it or i would try something, ctf themes were great, we could mess with basicly everything in the xmb. I still believe it would be possible to do something similar on ps3.

    decrypt:

    Code:
    scetool -d plugin_name.sprx plugin_name.prx
    encrypt:

    Code:
    scetool –verbose --template plugin_name.sprx --sce-type=SELF --skip-sections=FALSE --compress-data=TRUE --encrypt plugin_name.prx plugin_name.sprx
use the scetool from @aldostools ps3 tools. if you use an older one, it may not have the template option.

you'll most likely need to use IDA . I have no experience with it though.

There are some bits that can be read, around the middle, some of my mods like Launchpad are done by hex editing sprx files, and I bet there are more interesting patches to find, lots of urls, paths, variables, but yeah pinky is right, to do it properly you need IDA afaik.
