NASA's spacecraft "New Horizons" is powered by a PlayStation 1 MIPS R3000 processor
The travel started in 2006 with a primary goal of exploring jupiter (February 28, 2007) and pluto (July 14, 2015), then it was redirected to the kuiper belt and outside of the solar system at speeds over 36,373 mph

At January 1, 2019 it reached the object (486958) 2014 MU69, nicknamed "Ultima Thule" and set a record for being the most distant object ever explored by humanity

They should have used a pentium 4, it could totally use the cooling

The scandalous title was intended to cause some confusion and improve the effect of the joke because is unexpected :D

People probably entered in the thread thinking this was an overclocking with a PS4 but they found a satellite with a PS1 inside (some kind) an covered with kapton tape... pron for geeks
