I've been working on a tool to go with the PS4 remote package installer from flatz it's getting close to being ready to release so I wanted to post some pics & get some feedback.
I'll update this post over the next few days with more details as I get ready for the release here.

it's posts like these where I wish I could click lick twice. :P right now, all of my backup pkgs are on a 2TB hdd connected to my ps4. they're just there 'til I format the internal drive to rid myself of this damn banned account. it would be nice to use one of my larger hdds with an app such as this instead of keeping a backup on two 10TB hdds, and yet another backup on the 2TB hdd connected to the system. it's a bit redundant. ;)

edit: does this have an 8TB limit like the system does? I could shuffle the drives around if need be, but I would like to sell some of my hdds.

Wow you're a lifesaver!! I was just about to make a thread about the pkg linker for the ps4, and there you are! Amazing.

Glad you guys like what you see. I take things slow so a few other people have already beat me to making tools for flatz's remote installer. I almost stopped working on this when I saw all of the other tools so it makes me feel good that you're still interested in what I'm doing :tickled pink:

As far as I know it shouldn't have a limit. As long as the pc will read the drive it should work. You could even have them on a remote server and enter the links into the list.

I've been working in the evenings for a few days but I'm slow to begin with then I spend way too much time on the gui. I can't stop myself from trying to get it to look nice.

What do you think about the font on the tabs? I was trying to get one that looks like the ps3/ps4 logo and now I'm not sure if it looks okay.

phatboy slim (I think) is the font sony uses. it's either that or something close to it. it's nice looking, but I sometimes find it difficult to read.

I thought that it was phatboy slim but the 4 looks a little off to me. Yeah I wasn't sure about it because of the readability that's why I just used it for the tabs. When I had it on everything it just looked like a mess lol

Here is a little update of what I have gotten done over the last few days.
    • Added close to tray option with menu & fading effect while the server is running.
    • Added about tab.(image below)
    • Added Server Status page.(image below)
    • Added Splash Screen
    • Auto picks the first open port of 80+
    • Auto loads IP's into drop down box.
    • And a lot of the code behind the GUI plus things I can't think of(added over 3100 comments to GitHub today).

@sandungas I have a link everyone's name in the about tab if you have a Twitter or a link to somewhere you'd like me to use let me know.

Okay bud, I just felt bad that everyone else had a link other than you :)
If it's okay I can just use a link to your profile here. The more I look at it the more it bothers me, it just looks incomplete.

Maybe not hard for you but I don't know anything about image editing & it makes the app look so much better

Does anyone have any experience with creating an installer in Visual Studio?
I want to install this to to keep from having problems with the server. My idea is to use mklink to create a hard link to the pkg directory that the user chooses in the program directory and point the server to it. I think this will be nicer than having to put all the pkg's in with the program & easier to change the pkg directory you want to use.

I also have some new icons/splash screens we need to pick from. The first are from @calmative and the last is by @StarMelter

Yea @pink1, if you can get @Berion to chime in on this he will surely answer any questions you might have, and if we are lucky he will grace us with some of his work. Only person i know of that can take and make something nicer than official gui or menus. He goes all the way down to icon design and everything. Dude is a beast

I need to get Illustrator or something like it and try to learn a little because now I'm limited by what I can find or get someone to make for me.
Now I'm playing around with Microsoft Visual Studio 2017 Installer Projects to make the installer for the program. I think I can make a basic installer now. It's not real pretty but should do the trick for what I'm wanting.

I've been installing and uninstalling games working on logging the return json's for the different commands. Not very much left to do before I'll need to post something to be tested :)
