    Trophy Points:

Following the release of 4.84.1 REX a new update has been made by Team Rebug with the release of 4.82.4 REBUG REX (& D-REX) with the inclusion of COBRA v8.1 that we seen debut in @Joonie's latest PASTA (DEX) COBRA CFW. This update also corrects a long-standing bug (7 years) that resided in Rebug when trying to install in some region via Recovery Mode. Also PS3Xploit Support has been added (mostly for developer use), these features in REBUG REX and various fixes/changes can be seen below. Along with an overview of features REBUG REX can offer

    • What’s new since 4.84.1 REX/D-REX?
      • Installation issue fix (This has been bugged for the past 7 years due to missing the license agreement for 3 languages including English[UK], Brazilian Portuguese and Turkish. Certain users used to have a problem installing REBUG while on recovery mode, and this is finally resolved!) *no more data corruption error!*
      • Font fix: (some old games that use system font now display all letters correctly, Polish letter fix is removed due to this change )
      • PS3Xploit support: (The old webkit is brought back to allow PS3Xploit support, HAN can be used)
      • REBUG TOOLBOX 2.03.02 MULTI 16 (PS2 Emu swapper’s removed as this became obsolete since Cobra 8.1)
      • Cobra 8.1 (Enabled by Default) source available via this link (Stage0 now supports kernel & VSH plugin on both Cobra and non-Cobra mode, loadoptical flag(for BC and SemiBC) is created at all time as long as stage2 is disabled, this is only beneficial to BC/Semi-BC users for those who don’t use COBRA) More information available via this link

    • Features of 4.84.1 REBUG REX
      • FEATURE – Dual LV2 Kernels CEX/DEX (Swap your EID0/LV2 kernel using Rebug Toolbox in seconds)
      • FEATURE – ALL Retail functions available in CEX mode (No need to install different firmware)

Folder rips are NOT compatible with PSNPatch’s stealth mode due to its ability to disable COBRA’s disc-less feature for folder JB rips****

      I'm on 4.84.2 REBUG REX
I wanted to activate the licenses
      v3 Han Tools
      4.84 HFW / CFW
      ACT / IDPS Dumper
Initialize ACT / IDPS Dumper OK
Dump ACT.DAT & IDPD system freezes here
      Am I doing something wrong?
    4. Joonie
You need to login to the profile that has act.dat (PSN account activated)

You can just dump them via FTP.. IDPS can easily be obtained by either multiMAN or webMAN MOD.

      act.dat Location

      IDPS found in webMAN MOD

      act.dat OK
      idps.hex <<<<< ?
    6. Joonie
Make a file named idps.hex and type IDPS in Hex value. use HEX editor like HXD

also when you run PS3Xploit, since you're on REBUG REX. Make sure to check "DEX" since VSH is DEX by default (even on CEX)

      I apologize
I do not know how to use the HEX editor program

      I'll make an example.

      Great job @Joonie ...
Is there any opportunity to see a CFW that can handle PSP ISOs with more compatibility in the near future ? (For example launch them without any launcher and straight from file managers, and also make and use .CONFIG for them)

Running PSP straight from File Managers seems difficult

regarding decrypted config, I think @mysis , @kozarovv or @habib might be able to help.

Config can be done using "cobra way". Patch dynamically pspemu to use decrypted config when PSP ISO mount is detected. Then copy iso name.config to launcher folder, and rename it to MINIS2.EDAT. This will eliminate usage of encrypted configs for PSP LAUNCHER.

For psp2ps3, and official titles cobra will not detect mount iso, and won't patch emu. So that way we have compatibility for both.

This idea require repacking psp launcher to include decrypted default config, to keep it compatible.
Patches for emu are available on my devwiki talk page (thanks to @mysis ).

Thanks for the answer, but got the answer after watching MrMario2011's recent video. I was just afraid that older versions won't work on 4.84, thought it would brick it.
    15. Joonie
No worries. So far no homebrew has bricked any ps3s as far as I know.

Could someone upload a NoBT version of REBUG 4.84.2 REX firmware please? I found that my Bluetooth died after trying to update after believing that my PS3 controller Bluetooth died, and got a boot loop with error 8002F1F9. Tried "Overflow_4.84_v7_noBT_cobraCEX" but didnt like it much, and I couldnt install Webman MOD and "REBUG_4.84.1_REX_NoBD&BT_PS3UPDAT" could install but couldnt start Webman MOD (maybe something related with BD drive disabled, which I dont want).

Hi. I don't know if it has been said here, but looks like the Brazillian Portuguese part is not working very well. At least that's what I've been told by two people (I'm Portuguese from Portugal, so I can't be completely sure if that's true or not), but the bug might still exist. On of them I checked and the last part of the jailbreak worked with one of them. But it gives corrupted data, like with another one. I just don't know if the USB ports are working well or something like that, so just saying might still be there, at least for Brazillan Portuguese.

If he meant installation part (Data Corruption error - the screen shot below),

pt-br has been corrected on 4.84.2. however every other REBUG has this problem, he can just try changing his language setting to english (US) then try installing it.

I understand the fact that NoBD patches arent usefull as many things dont work, but cant see why NoBT couldnt materialize as it only affects Wifi and Bluetooth and its a common problem. I still cant believe my BT died without warning. Hope it gets reconsedered. Thanks anyway.
