I have a SCPH-1200, and it's analog stick wont work at all..
I've already tried to open it and spray a little bit of WD-40 (it worked for my joy-cons from switch.. so idk) but anyways, it didn't work..
All of the other buttons are working, except the analog sticks...

    Any guesses?

    Yup... but there's another thing...
I've tried 2 controllers with 2 games (Fatal Frame: Crimson Butterfly and Fifa Street) and one worked and another one doesn't.

Then i've tried with Fifa 05, and the analog works perfectly in both controllers

    Maybe a compatibility problem?

Maybe using it to much can lead to analog problems because u have to work all the times with analog it has happened to me once as well.

Some games will not work with controllers others than DS2 (e.g Fight Night Round 3).
Can you check your DS with an app called PS2 controller tester:
    http://www.psx-place.com/resources/ps2-controller-tester.670/.
You must have FMCB\FHDB or modchip to launch it.
If everything will be fine in this test app, then probably the game is not compatible with your controller.

Yepp, some games just require a DualShock2/DS2...

You can also test the controller via GT4... If the Analog-Buttons are not working (driving /speeding/breaking slow and fast, etc.), then it is a DS1...

According to Wikipedia and other sources, the SCPH-1200 is indeed a DS1...

Just look what is written, where the cable is connected!
