That screenshot was taken from main XMB... the time required to quit game ---> load xmb ---> trigger the notification is around 5 seconds or more
In all that time the temperatre is decreasing fast, specially if you quitted the game in a point where it had a low workload

Was taken directly after 6 hours of The Last of Us. It may drop some but certainly not 10+ degrees in the matter of seconds

I think it can, -5ºC from the "thermal peak" and another -5ºC from the time needed to exit and take the screenshot

i'm not in that hot of climate and my cechc was basically burning even in winter no matter what i did before delid, and my previous slim was cool in exact same conditions, room, placement etc.there's no sure way to know how long that paste under the IHS would hold but all of them will eventually fail.

I will give it a shot when I go get it back. But I did upgrade the fan and replace the PSU with a much cooler one. I got it on firmware 2.00 not long ago (4.78 was the then current OFW) so it was never used. Everything was replaced and updated before the teensy++ was installed as well. It was meant to be my last PS3. Every precaution was taken to ensure it never had any issues.

By the way mate, a bit off topic, but how can i downgrade this baby from 4.82 to 2.80? Ill say this straight away, QA Flag doesn't work, the PS3 doesn't recognize the PS3UPDAT. PUP as an applicable firmware update.

Someone mentioned that you needed to downgrade to 3.55 first and them its a straight shot to 2.80,or is it possible to go straight to 2.80?

Its not necessary, but restoring the machine to at least 2.80 would be neat.

We usually get 110+ here in summers. Room temperature matters, not just the outside temperature. What's your room temperature? Mine is 25-28c during summers (that's around 80F).

Have you done the delidding? 33% fan speeds are impressive.

Yes this was done when I had the teensy++ installed internally. But we keep it a out 70 degrees Fahrenheit in the house. Here it is once it was done.

In that thread there is no mention or photos about deliding
It seems from that list of modifications the only that could affect the temperature are the 19 Blade fan, and the PSU replacement

The modder did all that when I sent it to him. He is the engineer behind the GCHDMI, Wii dual and DCHDMI mods.
