    Hi there,

I am a Linux user and I would like to convert PS3 iso games to folder format. All I found on the internet is only Windows related software. Can you tell me if there is a tool for Linux?

Just mount the image (i.e I like Furious ISO Mounter but some desktop environments like i.e Gnome 3 support mounting it out of the box just by clicking on the file in Nautilus) and copy all the folders and files.

Why do You want do that in the first place? Folder format is obsolete now, causing in many games many problems. If You don't want use any mods, stay with *.iso.

The reason is because I want to keep all my games in the Multiman gamelist, if I install pkg files, the games are listed in the ps3 main menu. The majority of my games are in multiman as folder format. Tere are other way to install a pkg or an iso file direcly on multiman?

I'm using WebMAN Mod and I have all games listed and sorted alphabetically by filename and by platform. It is much cleaner IMHO than XMB standard objects. Backup managers today in case of PS3 games, serves more as dumping tool rather than mounting. ;]

On top of that, compatibility with "folder format" is not 100% and have big I/O load on mass storage device. Really, it is obsolete solution or solution only for peoples which works on some game mods/hacks as for them is handy to have access to every single.

No, it is for disc games, not digitaly distributed games. And converts from disc games to "pss games" are another factor of potential problems. ;]

There is an option (added about a year ago) that allows to list PSN games in the game list. However it is not enabled by default.
Also requires to have ★ app_home/PS3_GAME enabled on XMB. So, yes webman would list those games.

To list them go to /setup.ps3 and check /dev_hdd0/game in the section: scan for content
