Thanks for the reports guys. I will remove the texts in the final version, this is just used for debugging. MaTT26, you said browser/gmail works (in different sessions as previously) so it seems it only works on psp slim. Sorry but I don't know how I'd go about making this work on a PSP phat. I'll try to fix if I come across anything.
Here's the last test just to make sure things are going smoothly. I've come to know that the browser/gmail only works on PSP slims as reported by one user. If anyone else as a PSP Phat please do test build and check whether the browser/gmail works and report here, apart from that you can use any other PSP to test the other stuff that I need tested, thankyou. This is what's included so far: - Minor changes to recovery menu's "system information" sub menu. - Fixed unnoticed memory leaks coming from the recovery menu. - W.I.P brightness control (thanks for the assistance Omega2058!) Here's what I need you to do in this build: - PSP Phat users check to see if the browser/gmail works. - Use the analog stick to navigate the cursor all the way on top of the screen. - Press and hold the X button, and drag the analog stick down until the quick settings is fully displayed. - Click BRIGHTNESS using the X button. A brightness control screen should appear. May not appear the first time, if so press the circle button, and click on brightness again until it shows up. No restart required. - Use the UP/Down buttons to test for brightness. The brightness slider doesn't yet work. Please report whether the screen glitches out or not. Thanks for your time guys. Removed link- Edit Brightness slider fixed. Uploading new build shortly Edit: Here it is: https://www.mediafire.com/?w2ldxqraasjvrp6
Thanks I've pushed all the changes to my github, now to start working on other stuff :P Btw do you guys think material design (Android 5.X lollipop) is necessary? I'm thinking if I should consider switching or staying with the kit Kat look. Material design will take a long while, and I wanna add more features before I work on the design. Just wondering what you guys think, if I do consider switching to that design its not gonna come anytime soon.
Okay this is gonna be the last build until a while(I'm gonna be busy starting tomorrow), can someone with a PSP (not PSP GO) test to see if the UMD works? I've removed the phone icon because I don't plan to use it. Thanks everyone Download Test 7
Information about Updates Its been a while since I posted anything here. Anyways just wanted to say I'm back in college, and for now I'll only get a little time during the weekends to work on this. I know it feels like v3.0 hasn't included much but there's a lot that's happened behind the scenes so far. Here's the change-log for 3.0 for now, I've still got lots more in mind. Code: - Fixed memory leaks in both Gallery and Apollo. - Completely Fixed back button misbehaviour on Apollo. (was being experimented in the previous release v2.4) - Allow access to view mp3 files in PSP/MUSIC and CyanogenMod/downloads for Apollo. - Minor cleaning up in gallery app. - Fixed many unnoticed memory leaks in recovery menu. - Fix power menu crash, when pressing circle twice. - Display what is being done in certain options. Display whether it was a success or not in the recovery menu. - Fix up last two pages of system information in the recovery menu. - Fully Implemented brightness slider. - Fixed lagg on welcome screen (first time boot) - Unlock extra 4MB ram - Added recursive deletion in file manager For now I'll post my experimental builds or information about other projects on my new web page here. The other one will be used for official and stable releases only. One last thing, this (- Added recursive deletion in file manager) isn't included in the latest experimental build (1/18/2015). I still have lots more in mind for this release, I'll post here if I do make any important updates Oh STLcardsWS and other writers, feel free to write about this update as it is planned to be a big update, but wont come anytime soon. I might even move from [Beta] to [Stable] Here's all its features as a whole: - Brightness control - Music Player - File Manager (view images, play music, read text files) - Lockscreen - Gallery Viewer - Miscellaneous*settings - Android animations here and there - Recovery Menu (Can be risky since it involves certain functions for hackable motherboards only) - Quick settings as default pull-down menu. (Yes you literally pull it down) - Browser - OTA Updater Edit:Fixed date
I got some free time today and I think I *might* have fixed the UMD loader. Please download and test this build to check if the UMD loader is fixed or not MaTT26 or any other testers I'd really appreciate that, because I can't test this at all (Only have a PSP go). Change-log: Code: - Add recursive deletion in file manager. - Possible fix for UMD loader. Download CyanoPSP 3.0 Test 9
Will test on PSP 2000 with 6.61 ME 2.3 tonight. Thanks for the update, last build worked well on my PSP Go 6.20 ME 2.3
There's a slight possibility that it may not work on ME, since I heard Rahim messed around with ME's systemctrl files. (Not sure if I heard it right, so I'm just saying its a possibility) Mine is based on PRO's lpspsystemctrl_user lib. So if it doesn't work on ME, it might work on PRO, so if anyone can try it on both firmwares for me that would be nice, only if it doesn't work on ME though.
I have my slim capable of ME and Pro 6.61 dual booting and Time Machine setup with all sorts of previous firmwares so I can test M33, Gen, ME, and Pro.
I'll give it a whirl, my kid has my slim right now but when I take her back home I'll snag it for the night. She has my tablet and 3DS to keep her company till then. Should I test 6.60 and 6.61 ME? Is the changes you speak of just for the latest 6.61 or did he do these to the other 6.XX ME firmwares as well?
I think it was for all his modifications on ME, but I'm not too sure(Like I said, I only heard something like that from other developers so I maybe wrong). You can try it on 6.XX ME, if that doesn't work then maybe 6.XX PRO.
It's not working here. I tried UMD (with videos & games) Cyanogen froze every time the same way: -I'm still able to use Home button but if I click Yes to return on XMB the PSP freeze and I have to remove the battery to shut it down -No UMD activity Note for testers: When cyanogen freeze shutdown your PSP with power button directly (Do not use Home) 6.60ME-2.3
