I tried with TEST build 9-A and it gave me the same results:
-no UMD activity
What firmware are you using? It could be a problem with ME CFW. There's a slight chance it may work on PRO
Oh ok. I'll try with 6.60 & 6.61 Pro tomorrow
Edit: same issue with 6.61 PRO C f3 (TEST builds 9 & 9-A)
Damn it, this is gonna be harder than I thought. Oh well, thanks anyway
Same with 5.00 M33 & 6.60 PRO C f3 (TEST builds 9 & 9-A)
A new menu has been added. Settings->Developer Options->Dumping Tools
I just tested it on my psp go, everything works except the UMD dump (obviously). I had "flash 0 protection" enabled in my recovery menu so it didn't dump any files from flash0, but it did dump flash 1. So can anyone test the UMD Dump on their PSP? If it was a success, you should have a folder with the UMD game ID in the root of your memory stick, and the boot.bin file inside that folder. (ms0:/UMDGAMEID/boot.bin)
Download CyanoPSP 3.0 Test 10
Would love to test but when my kid returned my slim not games came with it. Might have a UMD movie around somewhere. I'll check and see
No probs, take your time
Let me know when ready for release so I can front page the shit out of it
Haha I will
UMD dumping of Suspect Zero seems to work just fine. Granted this is not a game but a UMD movie I don't see why this will not work. I could also dump flash0 just fine
Thanks so much for testing really appreaciate it.
Btw new video previewing v3.0 so far
nice vid, are you going to update OP with current build, change log & video?
Thanks and I will once I release the update. Right now its on hold as it is being experimented
Some good news: qwikrazor87 has showed me a way to use loadexec in usermode without having to require kernel access in the homebrew. The CFW it self allows it, and so my approach to it was apparently the harder way to get it working. In this release I'll focus on loading eboots in the file manager, later on I'll release a small update that uses the game launcher.
Bad news: I still have yet to implement this into my project, and hopefully it shouldn't cause problems.
Also, I noticed is there's a problem loading eboots from ef0:/, but works fine on ms0:/ so I'll have to look into it.
Here's a new test build for loading eboots through file manager :o
Please give a detailed report in the format below after testing:
PSP Type (Phat/Slim/Go)
PSP FW (with cfw - example 6.20 PRO)
If you encountered a crash let me know if it was a full crash - had to remove your battery, or a regular crash - PSP shuts down it self, or a simple crash - Home button can be pressed and the app can be exited.
- Run CyanoPSP
- Open file manager
- Open PSP/GAME/ and load up your preferred homebrew's EBOOT.PBP
Download CyanoPSP v3.0 TEST B1
CFW 6.60 ME-2.3
Homebrews tested: duke3D, nzportable, Silveredge, PSP Quake & HERETIC
Full crash for all of them, the PSP shut down it self after 15 sec
Home button won't work
Will test with Pro and ProMOD tonight on slim and Go.
Thanks for the tests guys. Btw I totally forgot to mention when qwikrazor87 and I, tried this function *before I implemented it into my program*, it was working on PRO CFW. I don't know if I broke it while implementing but hopefully not. If it works on PRO, then I didn't do anything wrong with implementing. But if it doesn't work on PRO, then its a problem coming from my side.
I know bitsbubba said to stay with the kit kat look. Personally I wanted to aswell, but my poll here at wololo.net/talk seems to be favoring the lolipop look. I was gonna do the poll here but then I thought, since I only do my experimentals here, I'll do the poll at wololo.net instead. So yeah if guys do have an account there do vote for what you favor more.
I'll just leave this here:
(This was done months ago btw, I was going to release at as an icon pack replacement but changed my mind.)
PS ignore the weird transparent boxes, they only appear on PPSSPP.
