This is a major update, and it fixes some annoying bugs introduced from ages ago. Especially this one:

Fixed changing font color to white color in file manager after playing music. Made it impossible to read the file name.

So if any of you guys do write an article, please do mention that its a major change, and also you cannot overwrite this with the previous (kit Kat designed) versions. Lastly the name's changed yet again from CyanoPSP -> CyanogenPSP. Thanks guys!

Just wanted to say that CyanogenPSP has become a lot more stable than it used to be :) Thanks to my massive code clean up prior the 4.0 update, things have been running better than ever. I've also finally managed to fix the clock frequency in the settings>performance>processor menu. This bug has existed since the day I came up with that section LOL. It keeps saying '20/10' is your current clock frequency even when it wasn't. Not only were the readings wrong, but also the over clocking mechanism. If you pressed the R button once to over clock it would immediately skip to 300/150 or 333/166 without letting you choose a frequency properly (even with underclocking it would skip).
I know this isn't much of a 'new' thing, this is easily manageable via a custom firmware but its nice to have things in the program it self, without depending on the CFW. The ISO loader is now the only major function that's missing :) Oh btw, the reason I got this fixed just now isn't because I couldn't do it ;) It's because I totally forgot about this haha.

Alright guys time for the biggest update for my project! Consider this another major update :)

Okay so I was gonna call this version 4.1 but knowing that it has now gotten more 'value' to it, I decided to bump it to 5.0. Btw I'd like to thank GBOT and Omega2058 for reminding me that my libs are too old (4.01 M33 SDK LOL don't ask why) So yeah, I actually did have working code for loading ISOs, but it was my libs that was causing the problem all along. Also would like to thank qwikrazor87 for helping me getting the eboot loader working. Well that came in the 3.1 update but still worth mentioning. Anyways here's the changelog:

    Code:
    Features:

    - Update default wallpaper to CM12's new default wallpaper
    - Added time and date in lockscreen
    - Use right/left to change brightness in quicksettings instead of up/down.
    - Added USB toggle under settings>performance>storage management.

Hi guys, I haven't said anything in a while because I've been really busy. So how's the project coming along? Are there any critical issues that you want me to look into? (Apart from the messenger and calculator not working, and the other things that I haven't touched on)
I'm planning to release one last update for the project. I'm gonna get more busy in April to June so I won't be able to make any releases until sometime in June. I can work on minor things for now and I can release an update either this weekend or the next so what would you guys say? So far I've managed to fix some minor bugs and increased the app performance almost twice as fast. I don't mean ISO/homebrew loading but the project it self. It's clearly noticeable when you update :) I might add or fix a few more things before the release, so should I release the update or not?
    Thanks guys :)

I'll be grabbing this tonight to do testing. Was uber happy to check back and see v5.0 as 4.0 stable was great. No more needing to covert to PBP format. Glad you sorted the whole ISO launcher. It really brought all you have worked for to life.

Take a bow my friend as this program is really a piece of work. Sad there isn't more love TBH as this is the first shell worth a crap since IR Shell. I recall the old OE days and dare I say it? Devhook!! Man that were the old days when the 1.00 and 1.50 were THE exploits to have.

Since then the PSP and Sony handhelds have come a long way. Thinking how secure the Vita is and the PSP being exploited on the first v1.00 firmware. Anyhow thanks man I'm done running down memory lane, point is this truly shows how innovative the PSP could have been.

    Edit

Am I stupid? I can only seem to find for 1000 model use only for 5.0. I would love to test for 2000+ models. Please tell me I missing something as 4.0 was so awesome I'm drooling thinking about 5.0 on my Go/PSTV!!!

OK I found build 5.0 on github page and I can't load any ISO from game launcher now. Keep getting 80010087 error code on PSP Go from MS and internal memory. I also don't have a copy of the older build I was using. I'll give it another go tomorrow as I am a bit frazzled from moving all day. Maybe I'll be done tomorrow and can invest more then an hour playing around.

Thanks for the support^^ If this project was created back in the old days around 2011 it would've had more love. Guess I can't do anything about that now.

Wait seriously? How can it not work lol. I spent a while fixing that, and it worked just fine on my PSP Go. Tested a bunch of CSOs and ISOs. The weird thing is that error you stated, used to come up before I fixed it. It could be the firmware you're using, cause it definitely works fine here. It won't work on your memory card in your PSP Go, but definitely should work on your internal storage. (Don't use the memory card anwyaays lol, its much slower than the internal storage)
Can you please test again with PRO CFW if you're not on it? And if you have a pops game can you report about that as well? Haha you seem to be only customer these days lol

Yea I'm not on Pro CFW with my Go that may be the issues I'm having as I am running 6.20 ME 2.3 perma LCFW ATM. I should have sometime to tinker this evening but I'm willing to bet that is what it is.

    Edit

Just noticed the only customer thing. Well I can tell you 4.0 was working quiet well for me even using the PSTV. I love tinkering with this app.

    Re-Edit

I took a few seconds and changed firmware to 6.61 Pro and its loading ISO just fine. I'll take a few to try POPS Loader soon just don't have the one for 6.61 downloaded and I'll need to FTP a bin/cue to my PC and make an eboot as well. Since I have been using my PSTV most of my content is on that now over my Go and using a DS3 with the docking cradle.

    Thanks as always atreyu!
By "you're my only customer" I meant like I used to have other people who test out things for me, but now you seem to be the only one haha. Thanks for always sticking through :)
Also thanks for confirming that it works on PRO. I don't think I can support ME because it probably uses different libs (since it doesn't work) and ME is closed sourced. Although I'm sure POPS and Homebrew support should work fine on ME, just not ISO/CSOs. Have you tried it on your vita? knowing that I accidentally increased the heap size and now that it doesn't work on a PSP 1000 I wonder if that also affects vita compatibility. Anywasy I should fix that in the next update, so it should be good.

Btw what happened to [MENTION=61]pinkfloydviste[/MENTION] ? haven't seen him around. Maybe its cause I kicked out PSP 1000 support by accident lol :p No worries I'll bring back psp 1000 support in the next update, I didn't mean for that to happen sorry haha.

I've been lurking a bit but have been ridiculously busy with work. I have seen a that you've been really busy, putting out quite a few updates. I'm hoping things will start calming down at work, but stuff only seems to be picking up. Anyways, keep up the awesome work.

I don't have a Vita as I'm really not to found of actual portable gaming. I originally got the PSP just cause of the GTA games that were exclusive at the time and the God of War games. Once the TV out came with the 2000 I have always played on the big screen. When I found out about the Go using the DS3 as well my portable gaming was over. Never have the time on the go really and when I do the Go suits me just fine. I do have the PSTV and while ISO loading does work PS1 has no sound. But that seems to be an issue with the hardware not your software. Since the Vita has no practical AV out I let it slip by till the Vita TV came out. Sold it once the PSTV came out but kinda screwed myself on that as Vita TV plays some games the PSTV hasn't supported yet or patched. I'll test 5.0 soon just pooped moving today.

Glad to see you're still here :) and yeah I'm getting busier as I get older lol, I don't think I can keep this project going much longer but meh I'll try.

Oh lol when you mentioned PSTV I always assumed you had one haha. Thanks for taking the time out to do all the testing. Really appreciate it. I'm gonna mention you guys, including @pinkfolydviste in the credits when I release the next update. Cause honestly you guys gave me enough support to keep me going. You too [MENTION=6]bitsbubba[/MENTION] and [MENTION=507]MaTT26[/MENTION]
You really do hold a place in the project, cause if it wasn't I would've never had the enthusiasm to come this far.

A new feature I *might* implement in time for 5.1. This is still a work in progress, so I may not have time to include it. I plan on releasing the update this weekend. Like I said earlier, this will be the last one for a while due to my exams. So until after June this will be the last update. It is still a bit messy, so I decided not to show the part where it asks you for the password. When you press X it toggles it off/on. If its off, and it toggles it on, it will prompt you to enter a password which will be saved. Then on the lockscreen, (pressing L brings up the lockscreen) if the password lock is toggled on, you can only unlock using the password. Unless you toggle it off.

Was just tinkering with this and the ISO loader works on TNV-10 quiet well on my PSTV. A new update will be nice but will be sad to see it on hiatus but school does need to come first. Good luck on your exams man!!
