I think I'm not a creative person. Never liked Little Big Planet, and this is more like it, but watched people creating really nice stuff.

Did Dreams allow user to save his game/level/world/whatever locally as save file? I'm asking because Media Molecule in first LBP saving in cache data... and they only allowed later to export it as save file (what idiot design it in that way!?). Because of that, I do not planning buying this game while I could not save my time, because You know, how can I trust such devs. ;p

I'm not sure yet. They are talking about making it so you can export your creations as sellable standalone games. Give it some time.

    Check out these :

I’ve watched some of digital foundry’s videos on this game over the last couple day’s and had previously seen some demo creations, the English breakfast etc while it was still in beta. Looks beautiful but if you wanted to create something, wouldn’t it be best to use a PC and dedicated tools (better workflow, performance etc)? I imagine simpler games (marble madness clones etc) and some of the 3D pixel/voxel style platformers would be cool to play but more complicated stuff I’m not sure (the official game levels look good obviously).
(slightly ot) still not really sure about LBP... is the game actually very good? I think I’m going to have to play the original PS3 game again and check it out properly.
Anyway I’m waiting to see what people create in Dreams and will probably be buying it.
I’m going to check out these videos that you have linked now, they’re lookin’ pretty f-in’ impressive :)

    @DeViL303 O kurwa. :eek:

@ZeroOne Definitely. One of the best games past generation. My favourite is first LBP. Second and especially three are meh.

Just finished binge watching all of the linked videos and wow what a trip. I was sold when I seen ED-209 tbh but watching the later videos, Mario 64, South Park, MGS, etc.. something else.

This is very interesting too, media molecule devs showing some of the issues they faced with backwards compatibility of older creations as they changed things.

About this, I guess it would be better to use a pc if you are a pro, have professional software and a good PC. But for his all you need is a PS4 and 40euro, So its opened up game development to millions of people who could not do it otherwise.

Awesome to see what can be done in 200 hours.. thats like 1 person working 10 hours per day for 1 month... Imagine what will be possible when you get groups of people working on something for years..

Already almost every Dream I have tried is like a 5euro (or more) game in itself...the value for money here is off the scale. I am surprised they did not charge more for this.

I was never really interested in these types of games before, but this one seems to give a lot of freedom to the creators. I like how you can change the physics and the way the character moves, looks pretty in-depth. The cost is a nice bonus too.

Its really cool. The audio editor on its own is great. Also they have lots of big plans, you will be able to make multiplayer VR games for example and export them. I have a feeling it will come to PC too.

See how easy it is to create and animate a character, even watch 5 minutes from this point, its mad:

This game keeps blowing me away, it literally is a game changer. :D

    Check out this one:

Like he says in the video... One day someone just decided to pick up their Playstation controller and make this star wars game...

I don't think most people fully understand the potential of this yet. Dreams will probably spawn whole new genres of games.

It is amazing how you can make big games with only a small game.
