    I have a bunch of PS2 consoles and all my PAL-models end in 04, e.g. SCPH-50004 and SCPH-77004. I also have an American PS2 which is SCPH-70001 and a Japanese phat SCPH-39000.

But it would seem there are a lot more regions than these. In hand I have a SCPH-77003 (pink edition) which would appear to be UK-specific. I also found a SCPH-77012 which should be from Mexico.

Is there a full list of these hardware regions?

Yes, some SCPH-9000X models are compatible with FMCB.
Not in all countries data codes were available:
    http://psx-scene.com/forums/attachm...oesnt-have-date-code-please-help-dsc_1779.jpg.
Not all consoles with 8C data code support FMCB:
    https://www.psx-place.com/threads/playstation-2-identification-tool.199/#post-147059.

Some R-chassis model, may not support FMCB.

@Shaggy: Look up 'MG-Regions'... We already listed them (albeit possibly incomplete) in 2008.

The links sandungas and jolek provided, should give you a basic idea.

Regarding the PS3-List: It's partially different for the PS2. For example, there have been 11 and 12 jp- and us-models, AFAIR.

@umart666: Look out for a model with DateCode 8b! MOST R-Chassis are not automatically booting into FMCB...

...or... Get it from 'Ebay Kleinanzeigen' from people close to you and ask them if you could try an FMCB-MC with it.

Edit: If you found a 9C with BOOT-ROM 2.20, than that was probably an older 90k in a newer/other case!
8C were the last to have it and from those approximately 25% (or so) had it.

Well... Once you get the chance to grab a 90k with BOOT-ROM 2.20 n a good condition and for a decent price, make sure you get it, lol.

I got mine including some things for dirt-cheap and I have a crazy combination of it being an R-Chassis instead of a P-Chassis with DateCode 8B and BOOT-ROM 2.20! :)
