This would be a great thing for the developers section having a group of people that would be interested in doing translations for projects. I think it would be very helpful for a lot of developers. I don’t know how we could do it but it’s something to think about.

Yeap, so we can have a system-wide language support for the apps and mods =)

Many apps are being translated lately at least for Brazilian Portuguese, i already saw the lastest apollo and artemis by @bucanero in portuguese, so we can gather all the translators and include it in the mods and homebrews

I always wondered if users really do use the apps in the localized language or not ?

I never cared too much about localization, I use english as main language when doing development and I asume that the app is simple enough for anyone to figure it out, but I guess it's subjective

It could be nice for some users & from what I know it doesn't look too bad to do. Plus some people would like to give back to the community & this could be a way for them to help out :)

I've often thought about trying to add more languages to my programs but wasn't sure myself if it was something that anyone would even use. Also I'm an old hillbilly that's doing good to speak proper English so it's definitely not something I could do myself. :rolling:

From my perspective, in Poland we have in schools/hi-schools/universities many different languages. It not always is English, it is not so seldom when someone have learned Russian, then German or French and they know English barely. Newer generations have English in schools but older are out of luck. And homebrew using mostly old wolfs which preferring just Polish. Am I far from right @kozarovv @jolek? ;)

Personally, I'm prefer English just because some things are very hard to translate keeping sentence short (Polish is quite "long language"), often even bad translated and I just using it to not forget foreign language which I don't using daily but using worldwide. I know a little Russian, and even less German and Japanese but it would be a torture to set them up as menu in app. ^^" English is not so bad in my case (besides style/grammatical ^^) and yet I feel that is something much more handy than the rest languages.

    Just my three cents.

Multilingual people fascinate me. I'd love to learn Russian & German but I've always found it very hard. I wish I would have been interested when I was younger and would have taken some classes.

Tak, twoja angielska gramatyka i kontekst mogą przydać się do pracy, ponieważ niektóre rzeczy, które mówisz, zaczynają się od niewłaściwego słowa lub jego wariantu, w zależności od kontekstu wypowiedzi.:-p:D

For example here you say " I'm "...

Which is sort for " I am " so in this case the of this statement is not correct as this is a pro noun and makes no sense. This statement should be started with a noun instead which is " I " in this case.

English 101 with Cypher lol, Sorry but I had to be a bit cheeky here....:-p:-p:D

@Cypher_CG89 That's true, and quite often. Sometimes it is just matter of not sufficient focus during writing, but in most cases, it is Polish sentence written with English words. My main issue is Your concept of time flow. In Polish we have 5 but using today only 3 (just past/present/future), when You have as I remember even 16. Probably this is beyond for me to learn it fully, but at least we can better or less communicate with each other.

PS: Current automatic translators demolishing Slavic language family. ^^ What have You wrote was something like this:

"Yes, Your English grammatical and context could be handy in work because some things which You saying, started from not proper word or it's variant, depend of context."

But I understand of course. ^^
And don't worry, I don't take it to myself. Actually I'm glad, it is handy in improving.

@Cruslan1 If system font support them (i.e if XMB can be officially in Turkish with Turkish symbols) and @LuanTeles have in mind XMB mods, then yes. In case of homebrew it is only a matter of font support and encoding page setup which every developer must do it for it's own app needs.

Yeah I was lazy this time using a translator , but you know I can type quite good Polish from past comments I have made in Polish. Just proves that sometimes translators can trash a lingo when trying to add too much context to a statement but if written in the very basics of each lingo it will do an OK job.

EDIT: I thought it looked a bit wrong/strange when I was typing the English in lol and it was showing the translation...

To attach a file to a new post use the "Upload a File" option next to "post reply" before you post a reply at the bottom of the text box.

To attach something to a previous post select "edit" on the post of yours you want to attach the file to, then when the edit window appears select "more options" then on the next screen select "upload a file".
