I have a ps3 that was jailbroken on the latest 4.84.2 REBUG Dex. I recently had a problem with my HDD trying to downgrade & im getting the error code 8002F1F9. I realize that it is hardware issue and I also know that my Bluetooth connection does not work on the console. I’ve looked up “NoBD” “NoBT” firmwares & I’ve tried installing them, however my console will not recognize any CEX or OFW update file. It will only detect a DEX cfw. I’ve tried looking for a DEX NoBT FW however I can’t seem to find one anywhere/ I don’t know how to make one. Any help would be great. I’ve also tried many other DEX cfws but all result in error 8002F1F9

hmm...you might have to go with mfw on an existing update pup. though, I'm not sure if it works correctly with a dex firmware (never tried). try d-rex.

Isn’t D-Rex Dex? Correct me if I’m wrong it’s a mix of CEX & DEX however when you download a cfw from Rebug for example you can either get a Rex(Cex) or D-rex(Dex) cfw. I have tried making my own ‘mfw’ however I keep getting errors so I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong ?. If anyone could upload a D-Rex NoBT cfw or even D-Rex ‘mfw’ that would be great.

might be the permissions on the folder or the lack of keys. if mfw is in program files or program files (x86), it's probably a permissions problem. grant full access to users.

Users all have full control. I’m getting this error, first “pkgtool.exe has stopped working” then it displays “FATAL ERROR: Could not unpkg file: dev_flash_000.tar.aa.2015_12_050415: child killed: segmentation violation”

do you have it pointing to your keys? you should use @haxxxen 's mod 0.2.1 of mfw if you're not.

So I didn’t know I had to set the keys LOL. Successfully Created a Dex MFW NoBT and will test it in a bit once I restore the HDD
