HEN 2.2.2 / 2.3.X HOT FIX FOR FREEZING

So I have just came a video on youtube that specifically stated what was happening to me, the freezing when enabling HEN.

One of the fixes that seem to be working is re-installing HEN 2.3.0 and installing HEN Toolbox, this way the HEN animation will be gone when enabling ensuring that the freezing won't happen.


Someone who's willing to test this out, be my guest.

EDIT: 2.3.1 HENTOOLBOX IS DISABLED

EDIT 2 & FINAL: WHEN ACTIVATING HEN remove any DVD's / Discs & USB Flash drives.

UPDATE: Done it all I stated and finally 2.3.1 does not freeze. DVD was inside and I had no knowledge about it since the PS3 is not mine. Also did the browser thing and it smoothes things up.

I guess the toolbox might be the answer to this. I'm gonna try and get back to you for feedback

 

So, when i enabled toolbox, loading of the hen returned to the HTML version, the animations disappeared, and the toolbox itself began to freez the console. After reinstalling 2.3.1 hen everything went back to normal and the toolbox was turned off

 

The problem with mine is EVEN with 2.3.1 it's still freezing

 

Note: This patches a few files on flash and hdd to add support for itself. Whenever you update HEN the toolbox will get disabled, and you will see a new icon on the XMB that will allow you to reapply the patches. Enable Hen and Press X to icon, enter in Hen Toolbox setting and update Hen Toolbox.

 

Okay, but after enable toolbox on 2.3.1 most of news in latest is disabled, at least animation, and toolbox itself not working properly

 

After another reinstall toolbox is hidden on xmb and animation change to html

 

Você tem algum outro plugin ou homebrew instalado, além do webman/multiMAN/Retroarch/HEN Toolbox? Em outra vez, instalei uma versão incompatível do plugin webMan, que vem junto com o PSNPatch, e toda vez que eu habilitava o HEN, o PS3 travava. Irei traduzir para o inglês.

Do you have any other plug-ins or homebrew installed besides the webman / multiman / Retroarch / HEN Toolbox? In the past, I installed an incompatible version of the WebMan plugin, which comes along with PSNPatch, and every time I enabled HEN, the PS3 crashed. I will translate it into English.

 

Enter in setting Hen Toolbox and update this.

 

It still works if you install again tool after update but new icon is disabled wait for update of toolbox it will happen

 

That is normal, read what it says. It gets disabled if you update HEN, just enable it again, or reinstall it.

Install the toolbox again after updating HEN if it wont enable for you from the toolbox icon.

I have no plans to update the toolbox as of now, no time.
