So, good news! I found a cirquit board for my 100x ps1 and i got it working, though im looking for a laser right now but anyway. I found a lot of power cirquits, so i thought i would put them on another ps1 I have, to get it to work. But, guess what! A bios corruption! It does a weird glitchy noise when I powet it on, and it can get (some) gamea to boot up correctly. Yeah yeah i did check qll the caps, and i did try other power cirquits, so i was thinking. Can i replace the bios chip? I have a heat gun machine so i dont think it would be a problem. Its a 900x board and im want to replace the chip with another not working 900x board. Can i do that?

Since it's a ROM chip, are you certain it is bad? It could be bad RAM, for example.
