Hello! I am testing the reproduction of mkv videos with movian and in some of them I get an annoying message of very slow cpu to decode video making it clear that the cpu is the one who is doing all the work giving me desynchronized voices and other details even with one of 1280x960 All these videos play well even on a desktop that I use to test things that barely have a cpu celeron 847 to 1.10 GHZ and an integrated intel hd graphics. Apart from that, playing in PS3 some of the remaining games of my almost extinct PSX catalog can be daunting, there are some that look like they put a fine mesh in front of my TV, on my desktop PC I can use pluguins that greatly improve the visual aspect of those games, so I ask how many resources of the ps3 gpu can take advantage of the ps3 scene? , and tried to find information on other sites and I only found an article that took me to a source code hosted on github Hardware accelerated 3D graphics library for the PS3 there are agun homebrews that have ever used this or it is just an abandoned project.https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=mte5mtg , https://github.com/gzorin/RSXGL

This is because the PS3 cannot decode the codec you have used to encode the mkv movie.

Most likely your are using the H.264 above 4.2 level or HEVC/H265, H264 profile 4.2, H264 High 10 (10bit), VP6, VP8, VC1/WMV9. Use a lower codec or to be safe use the H.256.

All of my movies I have used the H256 codec and they play fine on a PS3 through Movian in 720p or 1080p using MKV and MP4.
