What are the specific installation steps for the internal hard drive? Is there any relevant guide?

Fedora 9 is quite an old OS. Provided that the live disk will boot on the ps3, you would install it the exact same as installing Redribbon is detailed in dazzaxx's pinned post. Once you have reserved the hard drive region you can install any OS that is compatible with the ps3. I think Fedora 28 was the last to support ppc64. Just being ppc64 does not mean that it will necessarily boot on the ps3. I would recommend using the newest disk you can get that will still boot on the ps3.

Why would you want to install such an outdated distro? There aren't many distros with PPC64 binary packages, so you should probably use a source based distro like T2-SDE or gentoo.
