So, my PS2 got some vacancy since I bought a PS4 Pro once in a while like 2 or 3 days in a week i turn it on eihter to play some games or to test OPL or something else. Its not hard to get pissed thou. Its a fight to get the Internal HDD detected, i've been sucessful until today. As it was detected once then i turn off ps2 and let it be to do something else, when i try to load games again it wouldnt detect the HDD anymore...

I Tried everything that a mid's 20 man could do.

Running low on cash, I love PS2, i have a spare 90k slim. I could save some money to get this ps2 working again. I dont have soldering or eletronic skills. I could save to buy a new ps2 or a new network adapter. I dont know if the NA is faulty. its ugly and the shield plate with sony sticker is rusty. It has the NA to SATA Upgrade board. If i buy a new PS2 i might have a faulty NA. If I buy a NA i might have a faulty PS2. The Network part of the NA is working fine. it load SMB games without issues i can also play online. Its official NA with RJ45 and 11. The 2,5 HDD seems fine.

Did you tried NA without SATA mod?
I mean to try it out with original parts from NA and with old (P)ATA HDD?

Can you try NA on other console, to test if it is NA or console fault?

I tried that. It worked. But it used to work too bofore but the HDD randomly freezed thus the game can't read data and ends crashing... haven't experience that today (yet?).

Maybe its fate... but i found 400 GB on internet from a good seller for bargain around $12

same thing. I tried on a diff console 39001.

Sounds like the SATA-Adapter-Board got borked.

Try another HDD, if you have Maxtor HDD... s*** like this can happens.
    Try WD or Seagate.

If the problem exists also on another console than it is most likely something with NA or HDD.
I doubt that both consoles have faulty pins to attach NA, or there is something wrong on motherboard.

    You mean you have Maxtor?
The picture you've tried to show is broken.
    At least on my PC.

I've almost the same HDD with 500 GB.
For now it is working in my PS2 for about 2-3 years.
