I moved a PS2 ISO to a folder called PS2ISO in the external HDD's FAT32 and NTFS partitions and it doesn't show up on IRISMAN but only when I move it to the PS3's HDD's PS2ISO folder.

I know that even if it detected the PS2 ISO it would probably ask to copy it to the PS3's HDD (or it would start copying it right away without even asking) since it's a normal behavior for these games but other homebrew like multiMAN, webMAN MOD and ManaGunZ showed them when they were on the external HDD's PS2ISO folder too.

Ps2 disc backups can only be played from internal hdd. External isnt supported for ps2 games.
If I'm not mistaken, ps3 and ps1 disc backups can be played from internal or external hdd. Ps2 and psp only work on internal hdd.

MultiMAN and webMAN MOD can read PS2 games from external even if they ask me to copy to internal after running them.

I know but like I've told webMAN MOD and multiMAN at least detect them from external and transfer them to internal and if I use IRISMAN I have to use its file manager to transfer them to internal.

It's weird. MultiMAN, webMAN MOD and ManaGunZ list them.

It's completely irrelevant, since you can't launch them from external HDD anyway.

    Are u using external usb/hardrive?
If u are you can look on utube to make multiman read ntfs.

MultiMAN is "read-only" with NTFS and you need to toggle the PFS driver to view the contents of an External NTFS format HDD with MultiMAN.

EDIT: I cannot remember off hand but it may also require you to run PrepNTFS on the HDD as well.

It can read the ISOs on it but its file manager can't. On mmCM's file manager it doesn't even show up and on multiMAN's it does but it stays loading forever (according to some youtube videos there are some external HDD's whose NTFS partition stay loading forever and it looks like mine is one of them).

That's what I did but I still can't access its content. Anyway, in IRISMAN I can't mount PKG from the external HDD and in multiMAN I can't.

Make sure the format it to ntfs.. Or buy a USB stick.. About 256gb and format it to fat32 and the ps3 will read it automatically?

PS2 games ISO and .BIN.ENC only work from internal HDD. Try /dev_hdd0/PS2ISO

Ps2_netemu does not support USB access of any kind (FAT32 or NTFS)

It's NTFS. IRISMAN can read it fine unlike multiMAN.

I've only been told about PS2 games on ISO format. Anyway, at least multiMAN recognizes them (on an external HDD) unlike IRISMAN.
