Going off of what you said in your other thread you should try the ps3xploit. flash dumper to check if your PS3 is compatible with CFW.

No it's impossible if you can't install a CFW

You can use HAN on a banned console however you need a valid act.dat file to resign your files. Having a act.dat file pre-supposes that the console is activated. If it's the case then you can use HAN without problem.

If you don't have a act.dat file, you can only use CFW2OFW disc conversion games installed with the Debug pkg Enabler.
However in the next HAN update, there might be a new feature allowing to generate an act.dat without PSN connection.

This is going to be a nice feature, it removes a dependency from PSN :)

@bguerville allowing to dump act.dat without any PSN connection would make HAN a complete project, HAN is the only solution for the latest Models, and it can also be the greatest thing to happen for those 3k and 4k systems, can't wait for this feature.

Is not about dumping it, but to generate a new act.dat from scratch without any connection to the PSN servers
Im guessing this is something tricky because are involved lot of identifyers and signatures, so is an small milestone to be able to generate them :)

Right now i dont know any software in cfw able to do it (maybe there is some way that im missing?)

Well, dumping act.dat straight from the system shouldn't be a necessity, what i think of, is to dump the idps of your system, and use it to generate act.dat on the computer using the software that will allow you to do so, which is what @bguerville is probably talking about...

My bet is it is going to work "by asking nicelly" to the PS3 to generate an act.dat for us (after hijacking some official syscalls with the ROP webkit exploit + some black witchery they are doing to generate "fake" responses from a virtual PSN server) :)
