Well it arrived today, the madness will now begin. Still awaiting my e3 and the esata station I ordered. Can't wait to put this thru it's paces once I am done with what I have planned for

I have a flasher fully functional, barely used. not sure about the clip status. I don't use it anymore.
I don't know if its within guidelines to offer to sell it for like... $15 + ship . (i'd recommend getting pics for verification or whatever if so, and tracking # so you can see it coming of course. i like to be safe, lol :))
even if the clip is bad, it's $20 on ebay, which would put total cost alot less. I think i even have the e3 linker still, but i'd have to look.
I just don't use it anymore, and if it would benefit ya, i like to help. :)

I ordered the regular e3, I purchased a dual slot esata station so I can dual boot with it. I don't like the newer esata setup e3 has.

yea my all time favorite to bro. It will be similiar, I've got the extra parts from an a01, I am going to try to see what I can do between the both of em,. I'm hoping that all I'll have to do repaint the black hatch white, or adapt the one from the case. It's a cech l also, I dont think many things will "bolt on" so to say due to one being nand and the other a nor model. Gonna be my baby when I'm done. I'm gonna start flashing systems, I got a 360 nand clip on the way along with a teensy. My e3 will be here in 2 days, I bought a separate esata dock that holds 2 hard drives. That is gonna be a perm install for that white one.

Ok, I haven't gotten the first e3 I ordered yet, but I did get a used one that I'm about to test out on a spare phat nor model I have just in case I screw it up. That way I'm not risking my white one. I just read through @baileyscream guide and I have to say a fell a lil overwhelmed here. What a confidence killer, lol. I always assume something is easy then when I actually try it I get wet feet, but dive headfirst anyways and somehow it all works out. I guess what I'm asking is for some pointers from you guys that are experienced at doing this, what to pay close attention to? Is the guide up to date, and all techniques too? Very nice guide by the way @baileyscream, it's going to be my bible for the next couple consoles I'm gonna have a go at. Thanks

If your doing the e3 first then follow playerkp420's guide
    It's cleaner than mine
    And just so you know
E3 team stopped making e3 flasher 3 xmas's ago so all "new" flashers are fake
Used are more likely genuine with a chance it's a used "fake"
Now don't get worried about this but be cautious
I have had fakes that read / flash faster than the genuine ones
And some that simply do not work

    On the l model
Use the clip and a stiff piece of foam between the clip and shield about the thickness of 10 ish sd cards stacked up
Don't expect it do dump first time so take your time with it and reposition the clip / foam carefully
Even remove the foam if you get no good dumps
    Sometimes it doesn't need it

10 SD cards? I understand what you are saying from what I read in your guide, but what do you mean by 10 ish? 9. @baileyscream I did order a new clip for this one anyways, maybe I'll just wait, and read up. Thanks

Well hell, new clip can't get one dump from, not even a bad one after trying since 3 today.....it's now 930. Trying with old clip, gives bad dumps and has a slight tear in the outer trace. I tried filling in with #2 pencil and tape, awaiting last dump to complete. I have a feeling it and the other two will be bad. I'm going to use the linker next weekend and have a go at soldering. I'm good at work as far a plumbing goes, I know the basics. Any one have any advice? This is kicking my ass here. The new e3 nor clip I bought was garbage, can anyone recommend a trusted seller? I'd like to try that again before I fall on the last resort of soldering it using the e3 linker. Should have just gotten a teensy.

Thanks but after sleeping on it I'm going to go with a soldered connection to jail break my system's from now on. Whether it cost's me one to learn it or not. Eff that e3 clip, biggest pc of garbage I've ever wasted money on in my life. Build quality is terrible. I shimmed, I shaved, I did everything and couldn't even get a bad dump from it, just an error log. 11000110. Reminds me of messing with an nes and the infamous cartridge game you had to play before you could actually play the game. Recommendations on gauge of wire to use? I've got quite a few ide cables laying around wait in to be sacrificed? @baileyscream, @playerkp420

Well after the 9 plus hour clip debocle, I decided to go the e3 linker route. I'd like some input from you guys here. This is my first time ever micro soldering. Be honest and let me know what you think. Is it at least a decent job, I think it turned out all right. Any suggestions for when I attach to the board? Thanks. @baileyscream @playerkp420
