Launchpad is a different GUI for mounting/unmounting your webMAN games and accessing webMAN Setup, It uses a modified version of the "Whats New" XMB item from the PSN category, you know the one with the annoying adverts, Well when you install this you will lose that "Feature" from your PSN category, But you will gain an even better one in your Game category. ;)

The Installer (Originally made by Andreus for XMBM+ - Thanks) has had a makeover, It still has the exact same functions because the eboot hasn't been touched, but the background and icons have been updated courtesy of @Berion, Great job as always. ;)

7 Custom Firmware's now supported (Make sure to use the correct version for your firmware):
    • Darknet 4.81 v1.00 Cobra v7.30
    • Ferrox 4.81 v1.00 Cobra v7.30
    • Overdrive 4.81 v4 Cobra 7.30
    • Playerpk420 4.81 v1.00 Cobra 7.30
    • Rebug 4.80.1 Cobra 7.30
    • Rebug 4.81.1 Cobra 7.31 (Use Launchpad v0.17)
    • Spy 4.81 v1.00 Cobra (Polish version NOT supported)

You can Unmount, Access WebMAN Setup or Refresh the Launchpad games using the 3 icons on the top row. You do not need to reboot when you refresh the Launchpad games list.

    * I Do not think I will be adding support for any more FWs except the new Rebug when ever it comes out (I will support updates to the current ones), this is now 196 files in 95 folders spread over the 6 CFWs, its a lot to keep track of for one person, every FW is using different category xmls, rcos, stage2bins, sprx files, paths etc..

Big Thanks to @aldostools, @Berion and @0_obeWAN , @Phil and all the rest for all the help.

I will get around to making a better cover pack for this soon, PNGs with boxes.

This is a new XMB Mod ive been working on, Its called WebMAN Launchpad, and it allows for 12 of your favourite WM games, and 6 WM functions to be easily accessed from the XMB with large Shortcut icons. This has a few advantages (and some disadvantages) over normal webman XMB GUI, as you can set age limits on which games/items show up.

So for example you could set it up so that certain games and the Webman setup icon dont show up for users under 15 or 18 or whatever age you want.

This will install a new item above WebMAN Games on your XMB.

Items can be added/removed too reasonably easily with a text editor.

    [video=youtube;e7HZBugdY7c]

There is a little bit of setup involved after you first install this as you need to enter the paths for your 12 favourite backups (and the cover links) into a text file called "WebMAN_Launchpad" which you will find at dev_hdd0/ root.

The text entry for each game looks like this example:

    Code:
    <url type="2">
    [B]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/gu6saawyziytxjr/gtav.JPG[/B]</url><target type="u">
    [B]http://127.0.0.1/mount_ps3/dev_usb303/GAMEZ/BCUS30303[/B]</target>
So just change those 2 links to your own links for each game/function you want to see with a large tile like in the video. If you want it to show less games just delete the entries from the text file.

For now the only way I can find to get the covers on to the PS3 initially is to host them and let them download, I cant get local links working yet but im sure its fixable. (note: the cover link must be direct and end in .png or .jpg, dropbox is good)

Maybe some other devs want to help out with this problem?

Thanks to [MENTION=6]bitsbubba[/MENTION] for fixing the cobra hash's.
Thanks to [MENTION=16840]0_obeWAN[/MENTION] for doing the video and lots of other help testing etc.

This will only install on Rebug 4.78 at this time.

    Download WebMAN Launchpad v0.10

[MENTION=89]aldostools[/MENTION] Maybe some simply add-on to setup.ps3 can be added to mod files directly on ps3 in "clean style".

Also if someone could find a way to get it to read the game list from hdd, and create the text file dynamically that would be great. But even with users having to add links manually its not too bad for now.

TIP: if people are wondering how to get the exact path to their game in the format that webman wants it in, an easy way to do it from the XMB is to mount the game with webman, then when webpage asks you if you want to close the browser ,select no, then press start and you will see it.

[MENTION=89]aldostools[/MENTION] I think this XMB Mod will work on 4.46 as its not like XMBPD.

Was testing this last night. It's really sweet but is it me or does it have issues with LAN based games? Couldn't load off my NAS drive. Then again it was super late and I was going a little crazy on 3 hours sleep after a 16 hour shift.

[MENTION=22544]DeViL303[/MENTION] Good job, that GUI definitively looks fantastic!!!! However I feel that implementing it into webMAN MOD is redundant, requires modified system files and it lacks of a way to group content (e.g. PS3, PS2, PSP, etc.).

The source code is available to anyone that wish to add that feature....

For now this is for Rebug 4.78 only. I can and might add support for more FWs in later versions.

Its possible alright, this might only work for local games. More testing needed.

Yes it has some big disadvantages alright and could never be a full replacement for WebMan. I think this is better as a bunch of shortcuts. Maybe its something that people setup with their kids favourite 12 games so they don't need to do through menus or look for them.

There is only one tiny line of code modified in 1 system file. Maybe cobra could patch this line in too.

Biggest issue is the fact that we cant use local images, I changed the path for the WebMAN_Launchpad file from a remote link to localhost and it worked ok, but cant seem to use local links for the pics which is a shame.

Maybe is possible to change url to local storage using cobra map path? Something like
    Code:
     map_path(char *https://whatefveryouwant.here/, char *dev_hdd0/covers/)
Then use addresses whateveryouwant.here/gta5.JPG etc. I don't know is possible, maybe some dev can help here. Also i'm not sure here but this can be easy done by implementing (if is not already there) paths to localhost by plugin like webman, etc. I mean http://localhost/dev_hdd0/covers or something like that.

Yes, something like that sounds good. I wouldn't know how to do it though.

Im talking with a friend of mine about making a simple website where people can upload their games.html file and get back a Webman_Launchpad text file with all their games added, this would make it a bit more convenient. I would also host all of the covers and they would be downloaded automatically for each game.

[MENTION=89]aldostools[/MENTION]: Do you think its possible to do it all on the ps3 locally? I mean so a "convertor" transfers the relevant info from games.html to the webman_Launchpad file dynamically on boot up.

If its not possible an online webpage convertor might have to do.

Have you tried linking the local images as hxxp://127.0.0.1/dev_hdd0/GAMES/covers/BLUS30303.JPG ?

Of course it should be possible to generate the xml locally on the PS3. An standalone homebrew would be ideal, but webMAN already has a set of functions that could be re-used (although adding that feature would increase the size of the plugin, thus it would have a larger memory footprint).

The most difficult part is to design a simple method to select the 12 favorite games. Some options could be:

1- Generate the xml from the 12 last mounted games.
2- Create a web form to define the path and image of the 12 games.
3- Create web notepad form in webMAN and allow edit the xml file directly.
4- Let the user select the "favorite" games from the web game list (/index.ps3)

None of these options are rocket science, but aren't a piece of cake either.
