for me personally widescreen worked only when patched on the pc with ps2 patch engine and pnach ws files files from pcsx2 emulator.i didn't managed to make 480p work no matter what i've tried.managunZ sadly only messes things up for me and it patches the iso permanently so deleting and copying the backup again is a huge hassle for me,as i'm currently running ftp over wlan only.

All the features related with PS2 patching suffered several revisions, it was a challenge to support all that patches, at some point was working fine but later zar was trying to convert the "unnofficial" patch formats to the official CONFIG format
You know, the advantage of the official CONFIG format is the changes are applyed "on the fly" (not permanently) so the ISO is not modifyed... thats another challenge in itself (a very convenient one) and it was working partially
The CONFIG editor is still labeled as "experimental" (but it works fine though... is limited but is working)
In general... all this features was prone to be broken eventually because zar was rewriting them several times trying to improve them

Better wait for the release of ManaGunZ v1.36, is going to be a milestone in several ways

Every ManaGunZ release is a "wow" milestone :) Maybe it's a good time to change version system to 4.84.x like multiMAN or IRISMAN.

@Zar Great update (as always). I didn’t see it in the changelog, but figured I’d ask anyway. Did you add an option to copy disc games to the internal hdd in v1.36?

The method I imagined isn't working. I have to do more test to get the proper raw data of the disk.

There is a way to do it with the filemanager. Open the path /dev_bdvd then option select all object then copy&past it in /dev_hdd0/[mybackup]

Once it's copied select your folder and convert it to ISO.

Unfortunately this method isn't perfect. It won't be a 'raw' copy of your disk, the files structure of the iso will be probably not the same as the original ;)

    Hmmm, and this ?

    1) Enter filemanager, open dev_bdvb, options (triangle) and select all, options (triangle) and copy
    2) Open new window (start), open dev_hdd0/GAMES, options (triangle) and create new folder, enter in new folder, options (triangle) and paste
    3) Exit filemanager (back to the game selection screen)
    4) Press Left stick + right stick (to fast reload managunz), at this point you should see the game in the list
    5) Game properties (triangle), and check IRD

This is going to tell if the files was copyed fine from the disc :encouragement:
    Incase of success:

    6) Game properties (triangle), and create ISO

Thank you. Why is it necessary to create an iso after the copy operation has completed?

Would that not be easy to automate? With the folder automatically created named like content ID, and the disc dumped into it.

The IRD check, and the create ISO are optional

The IRD check can be made with PS3 games and it will show you a log.txt where you can see which files differs from the original disc, so it can be used to verify if happened the problems suggested by zar

And the conversion to ISO format is something recommended, it has some advantages in comparison with JB format

@Zar. I have a small suggestion. Perhaps make it so the settings menu is still accessible even if no games are found. Things like adjust screen, plugin manager, & change backup path - will still be of use.

The global settings menu should be available, even if there are no games, and even in the standalone filemanager release

There was a previous managunz version where it was happening this problem... zar fixed it... and if what you are saying is right it means the bug have returned :/

Can you make a screenshot of managunz to see the buttons info in the bottom taskbar ? (L2+R2 creates a screnshot.bmp in dev_hdd0/photo)
You should have at least the icon of [START] button, and [SELECT] for the filemanager, and [CIRCLE] exit
This 3 icons should be displayed in the taskbar of the game lists at all time

Yes i guess, but right now im wondering which kind of problems are the ones zar mentioned, i cant imagine

Thx @CFW-Us3r you bypassed our intensive bug-hunting at first day, cheers fior that :applause:
Just joking... but yeah, thats a bug (a very small one though), it should not happen

In the meantime you can use this "dummy" games... this way ManaGunz have something to display in the game list for testing

Please give me more informations, where is stored your backup ? if it's in external is it in NTFS ? is it an ISO ? or a folder ? Can you tell me which game it is ? Do you have a physical disque inserted ? Which ps3 do you have phat ? slim ? ultra slim ? if you can, please give me the "CECH-XXXX"

Di you try to uninstall, and reinstall managunz and try again ?

I'm still in HEN so i can fix it very quickly if I can reproduce the issue ;)

I believe you just need to change the payload to cobra. There’s mention of this on the PS3 HEN thread.

@Zar it doesn’t seem possible to use the FileManager (standalone & ManaGunz integrated versions) to copy from dev_bdvd in this update. Rather than it being shown as a directory, it’s shown as a file.
