interesting. I think I asked you about this game. unfortunately, I own the switch version.

scratch that, I misread. this isn't for mk 11. btw, what's the deal with them going from roman numerals to arabic numerals, then back again. that's what jak and daxter does, and I think it gets confusing, especially if you want the games in alphabetical and numeric order.

@Grim Doe , I added an edit. I don't think mk 10 is on the switch. I misread.

the game+dlc is expensive. I think it's $99.99. I haven't really played it much. I always found the finishing moves so difficult to pull off (at least in the early games).

I actually bought that version. I've been buying all the dlc for all games I own. what's cheap is that several costumes ($10-$12) of smash bros. isn't included in the fighter's pass. also, something else that's cheap, tetris 99 (a switch online game) has dlc for $10 just to play offline. though mortal kombat may be expensive, at least everything is included afaik.; nintendo is just greedy with those two games.

yeah, love nintendo. their creativity is unmatched, but some of the things they do like suing rom sites (when there's no vc on the switch and they're not selling snes games new) kinda pisses me off. they also sue fanmade games that use their characters. it's kinda like a celebrity treating his fans like shit: without the fans, you'd be nothing.

Hell, I would have to Thank all of the Retro Mario Mod makers out there because if it wasn't for them
Then Nintendo would have never came up with the concept of Mario maker on their own lol

back on topic, I believe I do have mortal kombat x installed on my ps4. I wish the ps4 was like the ps3 in which you can copy and paste files instead of having to reinstall the entire package.

But with The PS4 installing the mods through an update have its benefits
especially when you're building the update you can make the file extremely small.
For the end-user putting the update on a USB stick and installing it through the debug menu is a walk in the park lol

oh, yeah, I had forgotten about just making an update, but won't that overwrite the update already on the system? for mortal kombat 11, the current update is over 20GBs (on the switch) while the game is only around 6.6GBs.

I did notice that a game can have more than one update on the ps4, even when they're named the same thing. that's what's happened to my street fighter v.

It only replace the File that is in the Update that you build into it
That's how I got much smaller Game Update PKG Files for my mesh Swap's
Only When I was adding more fight's then of course The Pkg File gotten bigger
But you still could do it with the FTP but the Game Update way is so much faster and easier.

    great video.

I'm not sure what about an update makes it error at install if not duxa repacked. I've never bothered to ask. it could even be a different dump from the same game, same system, and it will still error. I have all of my updates repacked after finding that out. what's odd is that it acts like the update was installed, so I don't know if they even work. it might be the PARAM.SFO that's giving that information or something. I know a little about the ps4, but not as much as I'd like to.

I finally updated kiiwii's x-project, but it had been so long that I needed to clear all cache and exit the browser. I was forgetting to exit the browser (was a bit stumped at first), so his new version kept erroring with offline caching. leeful told me that kiiwii's x-project had been completely rebuilt, so you need to erase everything before installing the new version.

I asked kiiwii about repackaging, and he said something about a signature that's created when dumping games. it might be due to the way in which packages are dumped, 'cause I think they go in the sandbox partition. that's at least where dlc and themes go. I know that with themes, an unlock pkg will unlock the theme, but it will relock once you switch to another theme. I guess it's good for that one time, then you have to use the unlock pkg again. I'm assuming that it's because the files are decrypted even after rebooting, 'cause the theme still works, even without hen.

    Interesting
    Off topic
I have Friday the 13th The Game
On PC and On The PS4 with The Patch Offline Mode working
And I can unpack the .pck files from both the PC & PS4
I wonder if there is a way to repack the content from the PC to the PS4 so We could all have all the special Jason's?
Funny thing is Savini Jason was already in the games CD but it was only a DLC for the people that signed up with a developers before The game was released.
And later once you couldn't get any more
Started to see people on eBay posting the Savini DLC the highest I've seen it was for $960 !!! Dollars lol Crazy Stuff
