    Hello all,

    I've made a tool to make the process of CDDA playpack for PSX EBOOT's on the PS3 easier. No more CDMage needed for BIN to WAV conversion, no more SoundForge needed for WAV to ATRAC conversion and no more manual hex editing. The tool is a combination of serveral tools (see credits) that i've forked and modified for this particular cause. For now enough talking......let's get to it:

    CDDA-ENABLER

    Q: What does it do?
    A: Enables CDDA playback for PSX EBOOT's on PS3

    Q: How does it work?
    A:

    • First you'll need to download the Sony Atrac3 Audio Codec. Google is your best friend.
    • After downloading the codec check if the following files are present in the downloaded .ZIP:

    • After installing the codec with atrac3.exe check if the atrac3.acm file in the downloaded .ZIP has the following hash values:
    SHA256:
    C617E91380F6FBA70DB4E4480082BB45273C9E313E55A3110C88C4518A544D1D
    • If the values match proceed and replace the file named atrac3.acm located in C:\Windows\SysWOW64 with the atrac3.acm file from the downloaded .ZIP.
    • Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable, download the files from here:

    The steps mentioned above are important, without the drivers the audio conversion will fail. Proceed after finishing them.
    Also keep in mind that this tool is for x64 systems only!
    • Reboot after finishing the steps above.
    • Download and unpack CDDA-ENABLER:

    Now that the boring stuff is out of the way, let's get the thing working:


    1.Create an EBOOT.PBP from a single bin image file with PSX2PSP. (Otherwise wrong TOC will be generated = No CDDA)
    2.Place your EBOOT.PBP in the EBOOT directory
    3.Place your .CUE and multi .BIN files in the ISO\DISC_# directory
    4.Start CE.EXE by double clicking
    5.Wait, till the application will tell you that it has finished it's work

    Q: Anything else?
    A: Yes, remember to always RTFM and like said before...the tool might not work correctly on your system but feel free to let me know :adoration:

    1. What's difference between "CDDA_CONVERT.exe" and "CDDA_CONVRT.exe"?
    2. Why binaries are not in release but in source section without source? ;)
    3. ISO doesn't mean disc image. ISO is a format of disc image, so You cannot say: ".CUE/MULTI .BIN ISO's". *.cue is a Cue Sheet, the directive file for image segments, and *.bin is not an *.iso.

    Might be a noob question: :sem blush:
    Before I use this convention tool, what should I need to convert to EBOOT.pbp? just the game's data track (Usually track 1) enough?
    PS: sorry to my bad English because this isn't my native language.:sem blush:

    At the moment that's not possible because PSX2PSP will generate a wrong TOC for the EBOOT (just the selected track). Game TOC (made by psx2psp) and CDDA TOC (made by this tool) work together, so wrong game toc = wrong cdda toc = most likely no music at all.
    I'd recommend that you convert the game with ImgBurn to .IMG/.CUE/.CCD and create the EBOOT from that .IMG.
    Just dont forget that this tool doesn't support .IMG (yet), so you'll need the original .BIN/.CUE files for CDDA-ENABLER to work.

    Thanks!Before I’m posting this I'm trying to convert my PSX version of Tomb raider 2's CDDA working, and it has nearly 60 CDDA tracks(what a big project)

    Having trouble with this. Everything has been installed and verified up to this point.

    Also, my PS3 is HAN, not jailbroken. Hope this won't be an issue when I transfer over.

    Can you post a screenshot of your DISC_1 folder please?
    I don't understand the second part of your post though, this tool is not firmware dependant whether your on HAN, HEN or CFW.

    The wavs were made from your program. Before it was just the bins and the cue file. I'm about to try "Mortal Kombat Trilogy" to see if it's something specific to "Ridge Racer Revolution"

    Also, regardless that's great to here. It means I don't have to worry about wasting on my time doing this if there's no dependency. And it wasn't so much the tool but a worry of what would "activate" once inside the console if you get me, but if that's not an obstacle then great.

    I partially fixed the problem since I was initially running the program and files from my external HDD. I copied them to my desktop and now it reaches up to track 26 in blue text...but still screws up at that point. Sometimes it's less tracks and sometimes it's more.

    (If you have a faster way of communicating let me know. This post approval system is apparently exclusive to new arrivals on the forum, so anything I post can take a long time be shown.)

    If i recall it correctly the approval of mods will not be needed after reaching a certain amount of posts. Seeing the amount of new members and sometimes spamming here i'd probably do the same if i had a forum

    First thing that came in mind were corrupted bin files, but since you're saying the amount of converted bin files to wav changes check if the converted wav files play correctly on your pc. If they do it can be a memory issue in the application.
    I'll be uploading a new version in a day or two on my github page (download link will be updated here) which handles memory allocation a lot more efficient.

    If you're on HAN the only way of playing psx games is through the PKG method (or disc), if you upgrade to HEN or CFW you can use .bin/.cue or .img/.cue files to play them. There are mixed reports about multibin games, some of them work correctly when mounted as disc and some not. For those games i personally haven't found another solution than the PKG method in combination with this tool.

    Yeah, I read about the posts which is why I mentioned the "exclusive to new arrivals" thing but I still wouldn't go about it this way for a resource/info/tool based forum like this. I can respond to you now but when the post is actually published by a moderator....it actually looks like I dosed off when there could've been progress in something that could be very small or something that's taking longer than it should. There are better methods to have things in control while keeping better efficiency in my opinion but forget about that...

    The Wavs play completely fine. It's the same as when I extracted them as pcm from cdmage and then imported them to audacity raw 16bit and exported out fresh as Wavs.

    I know of the HAN/pkg limits which is why I felt to mention that my ps3 is HAN and not jailbroken, just in case but I don't think there's any issues. I have about 80 ps1 pkgs installed in my system already but i'm just trying to crack down the solution to fix the music for a lot of them (In a case like the ps1 game "One", the game just freezes at the startup intro but I think that also has to do with CDDA stuff)

    Yeah I know about the first 10 posts as mentioned already. That's okay, and i'm pretty sure there are reasons, I don't doubt that but I still stand by my statement. Either way i'm just trying to get to the bottom of this...
