    Here are Widescreen Cheats for Open PS2 Loader uploaded by madmodder123.

    • So you have some sexy component cables on your big widescreen TV and you think you are ballin' hard?
      Well sorry to break it to you but you aren't.
      Most games do not have widescreen support so they just stretch the image.
      Some games have widescreen options but they aren't always a proper widescreen.
      These cheats will give you the best experience!

      These cheats work with OpenPS2Loader 0.9.3 (The latest stable build)
      and was tested on the current (as of 6/6/19) dev build 1564_DB-TA_all which also worked fine.
      Testing was made on a FAT (v9) PS2 using FMCB.

      .pnach files was converted from this Widescreen patch archive:

    • Drop these cheat files in your /OPL/CHT folder to correct/add widescreen support for your PS2 games!

      Just make sure you go to "Cheat Settings" and change "Enable PS2RD Cheat Engine" to "On"
      and change "PS2RD Cheat Engine Mode" to "Auto-select cheats".
    • Props to the original creators of these cheats! (Which are made for emulator use).

    About Star Wars problematic patch. This game have 2 NTSC-U versions, SWBFRNT2.ELF is different for both of them. So code not gonna work for version that it wasn't created. Versions are (by system.cnf) v1.01, and v2.01.
    v2.01 is probably released only as a "Greatest Hits" version. But i'm not 100% sure here.

    I'm not sure how cht files work, but some games from that list use multi elf, or small elf with loading MWo3 to memory dynamically, so if .cht work like pnach "patch=1" then ok, but if it work like "patch=0" then wide screen hack will be flushed with first elf change in memory. This can affect also SWB2.

    CHT are cheat-files for OPL's cheat-engine that is based on Artemis/PS2RD ('Remote Debugger'), AFAIR.

    It uses a TSR-Routine (terminate and stay resident), so it should work with Multi ELF-games.

    So i have tried the widescreen patch files for both Midnight Club 3 DUB Edition and Midnight Club 3 DUB Edition Remix on my PS2 and i CANNOT get it to work.. Nothing seems to work, i have seen others claim MC3 Remix works with PS2rd i tried and nothing... could someone help me out? i am stuck at a wall basically

    this could be interesting. I recently added widescreen to my 3ds for ds games. it doesn't work with all games, but via twilight menu++, you can have it load widescreen automatically, only if a game is compatible.

    First off... You haven't provided anything about your procedure, nor the game-ID, nor what PS2 and so on...

    So...
    What's the disc-ID you are trying it with and where did you get the code and so on...

    Anyways here’s the info

    PlayStation 2 SCPH-50001
    (With component cables)

    OPL 0.9.3 latest stable build

    Midnight club 3 DUB Edition Remix
    Game ID: SLUS_213.55

    I used a pnach file from the PCXS2 Archive

    Anyways.. I have tried this with CodeBreaker/OPL Cheats/PS2rd and I have also patched the ISO with PS2 Patch Engine and same results. I get no widescreen nothing about the picture changes. I also tried the unencrypted widescreen code from the
    ps2-home website and used the master code and the widescreen code with the .cht file in opl and nothing... the only thing I get close to a widescreen is GSM with 1080i and adjusting the picture with my TV settings and even that makes the game look stretched to a extent.

    I hope this explains everything?

    i have tried the newest betas
    and Yes i do have cheats enabled in OPL and my other cheats work fine

    the widescreen code is copied directly from: http://www.ps2-home.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=55&t=2980

    here is the cht file
    this site wouldn't let me upload it as a .cht but i just renamed it to a .txt file

    You failed on that copy paste from site. Your code is missing 2 at start, instead it have 0 which made it active only for last byte, not for whole word.

    Edit: Even more, code on site also is bad. You can remove 2 lines of it, and it will do the same.

    this is my 5th time making a .cht file for this game. but i also patched this game with the raw .pnach file from PCXS and put the codes in both .ELF files
    wouldn't that work either way?

    Those are not needed here. Previous code make patch memory permanent, so using patch=0 gonna have unexpected behavior here. It will make previous (probably correct) patch unused, or it will do nothing since previous patch will force it way to patch memory with every single clock cycle.


    I don't own this game, so i'm not sure what 2 executables it have, probably one is NTGUI. Anyway, use one or another way of patching. Both ways will generally do the same, but is really not needed. And like i said, that second half of patch is useless.

    Do you mean on PCSX2 or the PS2?

    I am not entirely sure, but I thought the address is patched on every VBlank on the PS2?!

    since Midnight Club 3 DUB Edition has way more code on the .pnach file (more then the Remix edition) i have also patched this games iso with the .pnach file(both .ELF files also) and it does nothing...

    Ok, i found why patch use 2 x the same code. And i doubt that gonna work on real PS2.

    I ported patch from non remix edition you posted here, but i'm operating on ps2 save state because i don't have that game. Maybe that gonna work for you, i can't test it. Remember you need to add mastercode if you want to use it as cht file.

    Probably you are right, i honestly don't know a lot about real ps2 memory patching process.

    @Revak3115 : Yes, indeed! Without a Mastercode (9 or F at the beginning, usually), none of your codes will be applied, so make sure it is in the beginning of the file as well (even tho' it probably doesn't matter where it is).

    @kazarovv : AFAIR, the Mastercode is quite an indication of how often it is called, because I think it was related to a function which is called quite/most often.

    The VBlank would mean 50/60 updates per second.
    That could crash, but usually should be fast enough.

    Looking at code that i posted above, master code is just hook for 'jump'. So it seems to apply everytime when 0x548A28 is hit.
    0x548A28 is jal to sceSifRemoveCmdHandler. Probably from some function related to scePad, not sure.

    So looks like on real ps2 code applying frequency can vary on how often hooked offset is hit.
    Edit: So actually can be different for every game. Just depend what master code you use.

    Edit2: Hmm, so we can use patch=0 from pcsx2. We just need to find jump that is hit only one time, in some early stage. Not talking here about that MC3 code, just overall.

    BUT if this does not work... should my TV Options be setup differently? right now i am using GSM with OPL(set to 1080i) and making the picture fit the TV fullscreen with the TVs own Picture adjuster
    i will post if this cheat you provided works out.

    So I am using GSM to upscale the game too 1080i like I said in my previous post.

    I know not the identical game but same exact area etc
    But I can definitely notice the game is not as wide as before

    could you possibly do this exact thing with Non REMIX version? also I wanna patch this iso with that pnach patcher should I use the code you provided with master code? Or use the pnach file you made not decrypted?
