    default=sysmenu is text that goes in the config.txt. it will tell the system to load the home menu with sig patches. you need to create a file named config.txt, place that line at the top, save, then put that file in the haxchi folder. after that, reinstall haxchi. you can install it over the previous install.

    u have two defaults. move the homebrew launcher to b. u don't need two sysmenu 's either.

    edit: btw, if u don't have a fw.img on the root of ur sd card, that can go from the config.txt. it's for iosu hax. it has cfw, redNAND, or wup. it may have more but that's what I remember. u can compile them urself.

    with haxchi, default=sysmenu is enough for cfw. u need to click on the haxchi game with each reboot. if it's default, don't press any buttons once u click on it. even though it's a ds game, u can still click on it. if using a controller other than the gamepad, I don't believe a button press will matter actually since it's not the gamepad which is the default controller. that takes effect automatically after clicking on the game. there's a way to spoof the controller using the meta.xml that I mention on the earlier page I believe. I never knew about it, but apparently it works. u won't have to use the gamepad each time to click on a button.

    if u have no fw.img, remove that line from ur config.txt.

    I hope this is understandable. :)

    learned something new. installs seem to go in this temporary folder:

    Code:
    mlc_01/usr/import/00050000/title id
    if u have a failed install,, check there. it's 0005000e for patclhes btw. also, change mlc_01 to usb_01 if installing to usb. depending on your setup, u may have to unplug the wii drive (if using one) since the usb might be picked up as usb_2 which ftpiiueverywhere can't seem to pick up. delete the 00050000/e:folder to gain the space back. )

    I figured this out earlier while helping someone find a fake ticket on his system.

    Code:
    00050000 = Game
    00050002 = Game Demo
    0005000c = DLC
    0005000e = Game Update
    those are prefixes. content should be one of those. those are something to look for when it comes to searching for a specific ticket on top of tik2sd's keys.txt. the content id number will be in the ticket bucket near the middle to bottom, so look for it in "hex search." remember that each ticket in the ticket bucket is either 696 or 848 bytes, but there can be, for example, a ticket bucket with 5 tickets (3 848 bytes and 2 696 bytes) for a ticket bucket of 3936 bytes.

    while helping someone delete a fake ticket, I learned a couple of new things. apparently, retail games' tickets are 848 bytes; eshop games' tickets are 696 bytes. I wasn't sure if there was a pattern or not, but I knew it was either or. .also, tickets are one of those two sizes regardless if it's a game, update, demo, dlc. ;)

    I can't recall if I put this in here, but a post on gbatemp got me to thinking. if you dump the mlc (internal storage), the NAND dumper will dump the files in 2GB increments. to merge the files on the pc, use this:

    Code:
    copy /b mlc.bin.part01 + mlc.bin.part02 + mlc.bin.part03 + mlc.bin.part04 + mlc.bin.part05 + mlc.bin.part06 + mlc.bin.part07 + mlc.bin.part08 + mlc.bin.part09 + mlc.bin.part10 + mlc.bin.part11 + mlc.bin.part12 + mlc.bin.part13 + mlc.bin.part14 + mlc.bin.part15 mlc.bin
    there may be a part 16 depending on which NAND you have. I believe the mlc will either be 29.1GBs or 29.7GBs. I'm not sure if there are any others, but that's the reason for the extra part. the final part won't be 2GBs. it will be whatever is left. the reason for this is that the SD card has to be formatted to fat 32. make sure to have an SD card twice the size of the internal storage (8GBs or 32GBs). :)

    Kafluke on gbatemp told me this: apparently, the homebrew launcher in the cbhc menu forces you into the homebrew launcher but without cfw. I don't really understand the purpose of the homebrew launcher being present in that menu in that case. I think most homebrew won't work then. you can, however, hold or tap B (can't recall which) on the cbhc game to boot into the homebrew launcher with cfw patches applied. I'm not sure what would happen if you just let the cbhc game boot while pressing/holding no buttons or if you pressed/held another button. I think I heard that pressing/holding no buttons brings you back to the cbhc menu. btw, this apparently doesn't use the config.txt accompanying haxchi. it's quite confusing. lol

    I don't know this for sure, but I think that the wii u indexer links to the meta folder and the rpx main executable. it looks for an update first here usb01/usr//title/0005000e/title id (use mlc01 if on internal flash) or if there's no update it looks here usb01/usr/title/00005000/title id changing title or graphics means changing them in the right location. this suggests that the meta folder isn't indexed but rather linked to as well as the rpx file. the files are referred to as common files or, in the case of the meta folder, common folders (that's what the ps3 refers to them anyway). :-p each game has a code, content, meta, and an update folder which name escapes me. I think it's the sys folder. that folder on the wii u houses a file caled version.dat I believe.. that file (I think is the indexer).. it has the version number of everything installed. it can be manipulated through hexiing. you can even downgrade games this way. ;)

    I just learned this: region free on the wii u with say haxchi/cbhc/mocha only relates to digital titles, so physical media won't work. for physical media, you need ourloader. :)

    I figured out how to backup wii u usb helper. you need to backup the USB_HELPER folder in the roaming folder and the hikari06 folder in the local folder. :D you have to backup both or you'll get the error that the app has been discontinued. ;) I believe that one is for your profile and one is for the download .tik . :)

    does anyone know how to do this or if this is possible: if you install some things to redNAND, how do you get them on sysNAND? I thought about ftpii u everywhere, but that's specifically for mocha and haxchi. then, I thought about using sdio on the sd card with redNAND to extract redNAND, using one of the NAND extraction tools along with your otp on the slc partition, and taking the ticket folders and replace them on the system NAND with ftpii u everywhere. does anyone know if that will work? thanks.

    I'm getting my first Wii U 32Gb in the next 2 days.

    Been reading up on getting HaxChi running and feel confident in that.

    I can't really get a grip on how to install games tho.. USB helper ain't working and the games I have are in both .wud and loadiine format.

    neither of those formats will work by default. you need to have them in the format of wup installer (.app). I think there's a way to decrypt the game from a wud (maybe with uWizard and its sha-1?) and loadiine format (not sure). I just usually use Wii U USB Helper. it's been discontinued though, but there's a way around it (see reddit). ;) just use the launcher .exe or else you'll have to start the process over.

    Ok. Well I did try USB helper (from Reddit), but it doesn't list any of the games I'm looking to install. Even with the title key URL..

    I did. It launched fine, but only lists B's games. No Wii u games. But dlc for some.
