Have you thought in adding some kind of message/tutorial only displayed at first boot with something like ?
I just wrote that in a hurry, im not sure how to explain it accuratelly, but the message requires to be written in the most "professional" way posible because is also a legal disclaimer

in addition to an anti-piracy warning i would like to see a file included with homebrew links (like webman, multiman, retroarch) but i would not include anything that is dangerous on hen (ccapi, sen enabler).

but no one has tried to compile the source code? I started again, then I took the original "makefile" and I recompiled the pkg changing only the background image ... however the problem of the temp and the error of the downloads remained ...

including a homebrew list would be nice, and it has been mentioned a few times already

if anyone wants to help and build the text file for it (name, download link, etc.) I'll be happy to include it in the next release

well brewlogy is probably the best bet to get the download links, albeit all the links their are https so I doubt it even working on PKGi.

its probably much better just ditch out the homebrew category on pkgi and just create a new one dedicated for downloading homebrew in brewlogy is much better.

and its really hard to maintain a list anyway, specially you need to follow the format based on dbformat you have, in my case I use "that" dbformat to read tsv files so using a exisiting config file containing the homebrew links is probably not easy to apply on different configurations. Flexibility in dbformat is really great but standardization is the aftermath that needs to be deal with, I use the tsv format, others use other formatting others use default formatting.

yes, it's an option that could help a bit, but as you said it should be quite clear so there's no misunderstandings.

Also, I've seen too many "repacks" of PKGi floating around, they're releasing it with links included, with a different XMB icon, etc... there might even be builds without my credits, or someone calling it "my-whatever-name store". So annoying to see such things

You could make it even more explicit, additionally to the sentences i mentioned before you could add another one at the end with something like this
The point is... all that people that is cloning your program with inmoral goals (for money or fame) are going to delete that message... and the fact they are deleting it will make them feel even more dirty

Just to verify if the system has to be activated each time a download is completed or just in general that the system is activated?
    Thank you.

no, just once. :) What I meant is that the PS3 must have been previously activated at least once so there's an act.dat file, and .rif files can be generated.
Without an act.dat, PKGi will just skip the .rif generation process. (the .rap will still be saved in /dev_hdd0/exdata/ )

I see. So i get that part but now im a bit confused regarding the . rif part. Lets say the rap is on my main acc but not the one im using the app on and the info on the link says that the rap file isnt there, how can the app generate a rif or even save a rap file then ?

Make a. txt file on your pc with your links in it from the games you purchased and name it pkgi_games.txt and put it in your USRDIR folder of the PKGI app folder on your hdd0.

the .rap information must be in the pkgi.txt database, if not, the app won't be able to create either the .rap and/or .rif file.
For example the default .csv format:
    contentid,type,name,description,rap,url,size,checksum
So, again, you need to put the rap information in your database if you want to be able to create .rap or .rif files.

Is there a way to do so with PSDLE as I want to create a DB but using default settings gets rejected unless in a similar format is used by ********* which is: [{"property":"platform","title":"Platform"},{"property":"name","title":"Name"},{"property":"pkg","title":"PKG direct link"},{"property":"id","title":"Content ID"},{"property":"size","title":"File Size"},{"property":"baseGame","title":"Alternate Name"},{"property":"productID","title":"Product ID"},{"property":"url","title":"Store URL"}] otherwise I can't create a DB of all of the games,DLC and other content I purchased won't work with PS3 PKGi.

PSDLE supports exporting to .CSV , so once you get a .csv you should be able to import that .csv in any spreadsheet tool, and adjust the columns as needed for pkgi.

(you could also define your own dbformat.txt for the psdle .csv output, but that might require some experience/patience)

I also want to add to the DB the RAPS and EDATS that are mine originally and not something DL from the net as I want to use the games I only purchased. I've attached a copy of my entire purchases to the current date.
