    Hi
I wanted to ask you guys ( especially the developers on this scene )
if you can explain what the reasons are that PS4 GAMES stopped being provided
for a while now , is it a problem with the encryption or 'cause of the firmware version or any other reason
i'll be thankful for any help in clearing that up for me
    THX in advance :)

What do you mean by provided? Hope you aren’t talking about newest releases for the system not being able to be downloaded for free from the net and shady sites. That would be against the rules you just agreed to when you joined here today. Care to Elaborate better?

no need to get defensive my friend , i'm just interested in the game's encryption method ON GAMES THAT I'VE BOUGHT AND DO NOT DISTRIBUTE ( even though backups are somewhat legal ) , I don't even play games , I just want to know what are the technicalities for creating PKGs, and problems that some ran into that they stopped being posted all of a sudden.
    that's all :)

yes, encryption. higher firmware games use different keys.

edit: to dump a game, the game must be bootable, 'cause you're supposed to deploy the app dumper payload, open the game you want to dump, minimize, wait a while, then the system will shutdown (telling you that the game has been dumped fully).

Can't be too careful, since we regularly see people seek advice for PKG format games who have downloaded pirated versions of games they do not legitimately own. Backups of legitimately owned content is perfectly fine. Asking for clarification on where files originate helps maintain the forum's zero tolerance approach to piracy and its discussion, and so forum staff sometimes need clarification when the wording is not totally clear.

When you say about games "stopped being posted" sounds a lot like you've been browsing piracy sites. It's not an accusation, but you could be a bit more clear in your wording so as to avoid doubt. Just to be clear: you're more than welcome to discuss about games that you have on your console legitimately, but anything else and you're treading the treacherous territory of piracy discussion.
Again, not an accusation and no offence is intended, but we take piracy very seriously and it is not tolerated in any shape or form.

from what I've heard, spider man and a few other games have been decrypted on higher firmware. there's supposedly two different exploits on post 5.05, but neither has been released.
