There seems to be another lovers quarrel going on between developers again. Developers Qwikrazor87 and Total-Noob have been going head to head while each of them release (or should I say leak) various exploits. First was Qwikrazor's leak of TN-V11 then Total-Noob's follow up of releasing two kernel exploits. So what does this mean for you? [break].[/break]While I'm trying to wrap my head around it all I suppose we can just start from the beginning. Lets take a look.

The initial leak of TN-V11 by Qwikrazor87:
Total-Noob's releases two 3.50 kernel exploits:
TN-V11 bubbles for firmware 3.36:
And after all of the above Qwikrazor87 released some save files for games that can be used on firmwares 3.36 and 3.50. Remember that these 3.50 ones need a second hacked device to launch the exploit.

TN-V11 files for 3.36 and 3.50 for the following games:
As mentioned in the title above here is the new game exploit. Now what's special about this one is the 3.50 version does not require a second device to launch the exploit. The game is Ape Escape: On the Loose and for now only for US users.

Well TNV-11 isn't an "unofficial" port leaked by Qwikrazor87 as he doesn't have Total_Noob's source code. This is TN's "official" port leaked. It is still based off 6.60 instead of 6.61 so some features are not working. Like PSN access from the ePSP XMB. Also this works for all Vita firmwares but if you aren't on 3.30+ its best to stick with TNV-10 as it has higher compatibility. While I love to see all this activity its being brought in a bad way. This has almost certainly killed any hope of seeing TN releasing TN-X for those above 3.20 firmware now. Another exploit was leaked when not needed as we already had another 3.50 exploit announced. This game will be pulled almost certainly by tomorrow.

"So what does this mean for you?"

Leaks of two kernel exploits and another exploit in one means nothing good...
will be just patched with next update...waste of exploits

1 or 2 exploit exploit games would be more than enought ...

PS Vita Scene devs should collaborate and not fight each other because the PS Vita is not fully hacked native and PSP eCFW (share the knowledge would be more effective)

Edit: Tranced yes report about it is of course OK
and everybody can use the exploits thats positive...
I just dont understand the sense in releasing (leak) a ton of exploits for only one Firmware like 3.18 (around 40? game exploits) or 3.50... (two kernel + three game exploits)

I did not mean to imply that it was his own 'port'. Fixed :)

I agree fully. Leaks are no good but I will report them so they at least get used by as many people as possible. Might as well use the 'waist' right.

agreed on both points. Are we sure this doesn't have similar code as TN-X though? Without source code, is there a way to be sure?

Even the person TN-X was targeted for has used this. That simply checked the registered PSN account and if it was Zett it wouldn't work unless modifying the files. Then it would erase PSP section of memory card only for that one user as they have been feuding since before the Vita even came out when the PSP was actually still supported by Sony. Even then if he used a different PSN account his system wasn't effected. This was not meant to be public and doesn't work nearly as well at TNV-10. Functions aren't working and is based off 3.20 and below firmwares which used 6.60 firmware as a base. All 3.3X Vita PSP firmwares are based off 6.61.

Also it should be noted TNV-11 will not allow you to rename PBP in the PSP/GAME folder on 3.50 but works fine using ARK-2 but ARK-2 has no PS1 sound emulation via PEOPS which is strictly for TNV firmwares. All TNV-11 allows is support (unfinished at that and most likely never will now) for 3.3X firmwares. So if on 3.20 or lower stay there as you lose PS1 loader or TN-X support. This really should only be used by 3.3X firmware users for the partial PS1 sound support.

If it actually had been released the malicious code may have been added. But then again the leaker of these files was also the person that removed the homemade DRM for TN-X so I am sure qwik looked over it to ensure it wasn't there or disabled it first.

Reasons to stay on 3.18/3.20:

- TNV V10 (more stable + more compatibility!)
- TN-X eCFW (PSOne Loader)
- Package Installer (public)
- Webkit Exploit
- Custom Bubbles

Reasons to stay on 3.36:

- Custom Bubbles + TNV V11 (buggy at the moment and less compatibility!)
- no TNX, no package installer, no Webkit exploit!

Reasons to update to 3.50:

- Only if you cant live without online store and online multiplayer on your PS Vita

No custom bubbles (yet), no TNX (yet), no package installer, no Webkit exploit! onliy limitations on hacks!

I would suggest buy a second PS Vita if you want to play Online and have a hackable PS Vita also
because if you Update once you cant downgrade back (yet)!
and you will regret it if you ever want to hack your PS Vita, stay on a FW as low as you can!

3.18 Usermode Exploit with ROP and released PKG offline installation

1.61 Without kASLR (Most Safe)

ePSP:

3.36 PSP Kernel exploit and unreleased PSX exploit
3.30 Unreleased trick
3.18 Release PSX exploit

No public custom Bubble yet but they still exist (173210's have the more powerful Bubble Method) ~ -> https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_84KH1GOSfiSV9mR0RmUkZXOGs/view?usp=sharing about PKG Installer i'm not really sure but it's it's pretty sure locked trough a flag (hide from the LiveArea and not launcable anymore) it can be also maybe unlocked trough Mr.Gas his R/W Access at the Vita

Just wish TN-V was based off 6.61 not 6.60 to get back PSN access via the ePSP CFW but I doubt this will ever happen due to the fact most PSP devs left a long time ago and plugin support is limited. A way to switch between firmwares like the Time Machine app would be amazing to have the best of both worlds or a hybrid 6.60 with PSN access.

There are some advantages of using TN-V11 as it doesn't need renaming of eboot to fboot and such. But if in TN-V11 for 3.36 and above its best to have ARK-2 as the recovery app as it allows for much easier installs of PSP ISO's over TN-V11
