Psn password is stored in the registry, which is stored in dev_flash2. You need cfw

Use the forgot password option on the PSN login and reset it through the e-mail account linked with the PSN account.

I assume you cant reset it through your email because you put in a fake birthdate.

If you still have access to the account on a console there is a way out without that date, I have done it before, you need to ring Sony, and they will ask you to confirm the last couple of downloads you made from the store on that account, So what I did was downloaded a couple of free demos first, and then noted the names of them and the date, for when I got asked. Fairly easy, just took about 15 minutes on phone. Was worth it to save my daughters account.

Another way out would be buy a hardware flasher, install CFW, then read it from the xregistry file. whether or not that is possible for you depends on your console model...CECH??? Some consoles cant be hacked.

Yes you are right, I don't have access to the account as it gets removed after restore.. And I don't even know what the dob was a/c is from 2015. I have slim cech-3003a I think it's not supported cfw. I think there is no way, is it possible to do something with help of PC any method? And yes thanks for the reply . :)

If you can give Sony enough info about the account they will unlock it for you without the date of birth. Try to remember/guess what last 2 downloads were if you can.

BTW, I misunderstood, If you have restored your ps3 system to default then there will no trace of previous users remaining on it except maybe the user count which will not help you. My point is even if it was hackable you would be in the same situation. When you restore the system the xregistry gets restored too, wiped out. So your only chance is to phone Sony and explain situation, its a common problem, its worth a try, they might let you recover it if you know credit card data or some other stuff like that, address maybe, for me it was previous downloads that saved me, but other things might do, its about proving you own it. Even then you still have to get email sent out to reset password, so its still secure really.

EDIT: Actually, if you still have access to the email account tied to the account, then you should have emails about your last PSN purchases in there, So just go in there , search for "Playstation store" and you should get all the data you need to reset it on the phone. ;) You even get emails when you download free stuff a lot of the time.

User count is wiped as well. User numbers are reset and start at 000000001 again after a factory reset.

I think its just NANDs that retain the usercount due to xregistry not being on hdd or some shit like that, not 100% sure though. I have definitely seen the user count retained on one of my NAND systems a few times after restore, its possible they have changed this behaviour in newer firmware though..

Not sure of NAND, it defo does this on NOR now. Not sure if it has been changed or what. Me and sandungas was discussing it on another thread and as far as I can tell it defo used to retain the user count. But after a factory reset on one of my CECH2003A's the user count was reset.

I have just changed the HDD in one again but have not checked if this has affected the user count in the registry as well but I would of thought this part would be contained in the Flash chip on the MB and not on the virtual flash partition on the HDD.

Its possible you are correct that the xregistry is always on flash on NORs, it would make most sense for an important file like that. The reason I thought it was on the HDD was I recently saw someone on here say they had extracted their xregistry from the PS3 HDD on PC using the eid root key. I was surprised too. To be confirmed I suppose.

Just checked the PS3 I swapped the HDD and the user count has been reset. There where 3 accounts on it prior to swapping the HDD, so should of started at 0000004. But they have been reset and start at 0000001 again, this would suggest that it is on the HDD flash partition on NOR.

Your best bet is to recover the account and download them on it.

There is a way to get to xregistry file and you can check if it contains your email and password. Backup your ps3, then use ps3xport to extract your backup. the app found on this post http://www.psx-place.com/threads/ps3xport-tool-inject-backups-on-4-83-ofw.21448/
select your backup then choose extract all files. then go to ps3xport_tool_v1.1\Extracted\yourBackup\dev_flash2\etc.
open xregistry with HXD Hex app. search for your email keyword is enough like "gmail,or hotmail".

Lmao, easiest way is type in youtube: How to recover psn password without birthdate.

IT has something to do with taken a part of the link and adding some shiz to it. I've done it twice it still works.
