    Hello,

I recently obtained a few prototypes(dev builds really) of some ape escape games, among others for the PSP.
In one of these is piposaru war, all in all, it wasn't a great game.
Whats more interesting, is that the retail version of the game has OFW 3.95 on the PSP.
    But the prototype, has 5.01.
Anyone have any ideas of what that means? is it a dev OFW? is it super mega hyper special?(j/k)

I believe its legitimate, its kinda difficult to make pirated UMDs for the PSP from what I understand.

Upload the firmwares to mega or something and share a link. Maybe someone here will be interested in digging into them. I believe there was a list on the dev wiki about what firmwares were publicly released and which ones weren’t. Maybe @sandungas can tell you more. Very interesting for sure, it’d be cool to see some screenshots from the dev builds you have, can’t dump and share those here as they contain copyrighted materials. There are a few other sites that may allow you to do that for archival purposes. Good luck

The problem is its not a pbp file, its 2 bin files and a param.sfo. Is there a way I can re-merge them into a pbp file?

    edit:
I compared the eboot param.sfo files, and they're the exact same between this prototype files eboot update and the official update
