    hihi,

Generic title, I know, I'm not good with names.
So, I have 2 vitas, one is on OFW current, and the other is on OFW and using the using the UNO exploit (OFW 2.5? 2.4? something like that, I know its from before 3.01 because thats when the jak collection came out.) from years ago. Is there a better way of doing this with the vita? I asked about 2 years ago, and people on wololo said that I'm currently on the best place I can be. Is that still true? Can anyone make any recommendations?

I actually updated everything on my vita (not my pstv yet) a few days ago. it was/is on ensou 3.65, but I had a lot of unnecessary apps. I haen't done much else with it in a long time, aside from reading about how the nonpdrm plugin works and using zrif keys to decrypt vita pkgs on the pc. for some reason, game files are just extracted as a collection with no title id folder. the ps3 and the ps4 aren't like that, so maybe it's the app?

Thats kinda interesting. I wonder if its like that for the vita TV?
Also is there any benefit to not hacking my vita? I found out its on OFW 2.02, not 2.5.

VitaTV and PSTV hack the same way as a Vita. I suggest using ENSO 3.60 as it doesn't need to be enabled upon each boot. And running ReF00D plugin allows you the ability to run all games even the latest 3.70 ones on your system. Also install NoNPDRM as you can run encrypted PSN games which support DLC mad updates unlike VPK & MaiDumps

the only difference is that there's no ensou logo on the pstv, which I think is due to the fact that gpu isn't initialized fast enough.

    1. Install OFW 3.60 (from USB on PSTV, on PSV You need cheat console to think she download from Sony servers, instead You will get the newest fw and hacking demand different approach).
    2. Install taiHENkaku via web exploit.
    3. Install Ensoo by official Ensoo Installer.
    4. Add modules which You need.
    5. Add Phalaris themes. :D

On PSV/PSTV it is You who making CFW because modules playing very important role here. ;)

I am on 3.65 Enso on both my OLED 1004 and PSTV 1016, and honestly i dont get the gist on why 3.60 its a better choice, although 3.65 does everything as 3.60 does,reF00D its required if you are planning to go with titles beyond 3.65.

@Naked_Snake1995 3.60 is the best because:
    • When I want restore the environment I could just put the pendrive and doing it, and next jailbrake via web (CMA is f*g sh*t which doesn't work for me and demand ridiculous unnecessary and time consuming actions, so I literally hate it ;))
    • Not all plugins are rewroted for 3.65+ (but personally I don't use any of them ^^)
    • Newer fws adding absolutely nothing beside additional security stuff

I think I've traced the problems of cma to smb 1.0, which is disabled by default on windows 10 due to security loopholes. the same thing happens when trying to access the 360 internal hdd via windows explorer. it won't make a connection unless you enable smb 1.0. I think this is also true of sd manager on the new 3ds and why it's not compatible with windows 10. if you enable smb 1.0 or are using it, it seems to make cma unstable. also, if you disable smb 1.0, cma will still be unstable. I had to reflash a disk image after that happened. it works perfectly fine for me now. I actually just used it a couple days ago.

I just hate the fact that you can't reinstall the firmware on 3.65 without running into issues. More trouble then it's worth for the few games that run natively and saves maybe two seconds to launch them. Now that we have ReF00D we can run them all. Why give yourself that extra worry if something arises and a FW reisntall is needed? If this happens you have to update to 3.68 use the exploit then downgrade. When you can just have 3.60 worry free from the extra hassle if an issue arrives.

I'd suggest backing up the files in these locations if something goes wrong (the rest that I can think of are on ux0, which you'll have a copy of if you backup your sd card/usb stick). these files include the act.dat, the registry, and the myprofile.dat (think it's for remote play, but I'm not sure): always backup important files on any system.
