IIRC that error occurs when the console is restarted or shutdown without delete the file: /dev_hdd0/tmp/turnoff
It normally happens when the system crashes and you have to turn it off pressing the power button for 15 seconds or unplugging the power cord (a big no-no)
I think if you delete that file after boot, you won't get that message.

Hello! here I am again, I had a bit to look for the problem in the command to restart in recovery mode, it was a trivial typo!

I corrected it and now it seems to work, even if ......... I am not taken to the recovery menu but to the installation of a FW (obviously in recovery)! I don't know if this was wanted, but I think it would be better to be taken to the recovery menu, in order to have the possibility to restore the factory data and the formatting of the hdd0 ...

Yes, thanks, I saw that typo, its fixed in v1.05 which is back in this thread somewhere, v1.05 also has one that works on NAND too , its just not added to main resource yet.

That is normal about getting to recovery mode and not the menu, we cant get into the menu without a CFW patch unfortunately, so might not be possible or ever happen.

Sorry about that, yeah, as v1.05 uses a missing rco trick to crash system to trigger recovery on NANDs, i was not sure about releasing it properly.

Also I know that recovery mode option is not so useful for most people so was not rushing to update it. I should though.

Yeah, for normal user thats fine, but that error saves me from soft bricks all the time, if you mess up any important modules while testing out experimental patches, that error stops the XMB from loading, and gives webman ftp time to start up so you can fix the offending file, its a handy tool in any XMB modders box. ;)

Hi, Unfortunately you can not install this, or any homebrew on a superslim. Also otherOS will not work on superslim, or any linux. Also it would not be worth mining any coins on a PS3, its too slow, difficulty is too high now. You might get a few cents every month, in a few years you might have enough cover transfer fees out of mining pool . :)

So sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but none of what you want to do is possible. Me or someone might release a HAN version of this someday, not sure.

Why is there a delete button in each option? Just curious.

You mean for OtherOS and reload xmb?

Those are installed apps, so you can remove them if you want from there, they are optional addons. That is just the options available for apps.

Wohoo without rubbing the lamp, can i have 3 wishes now ? :)

Devil was wondering if there is some place where it can be seen some of the files checked at boot that could change the boot modes
Or in general... take a look at the options used in this latest versions of "CFW Power Options" and if you imagine something that could be added or improved just mention it
I was wondering if you had some notes about other files or some speculations that never was added or explained well in wiki

*I reserve the next 2 wishes as a wildcard to use them later with something related with XMB :D

Yeah, if we knew even the names of the boot flag files, like db.err, Even if we don't know the paths, we could use the brute force method of copying them to likely locations. :)

have found 2 other flag files:
/dev_hdd0/DeleteTrophyData.dat -> automatically deletes all trophies on reboot
/dev_hdd0/BackupRestoreState.dat -> force repair filesystem, but this file needs some additional "binary content" like "db.err", otherwise the hdd cannot be recognized and you are stuck if you do not delete this file via ftp. on the other hand, maybe this file gets created during filesystem repair, dunno

for recovery menu there is no flag on hdd, but I assume in eprom. maybe the value given in devwiki is wrong or even different offset? this should be similar to switch bootmode on dex, which you can do by writing to eprom

I have started something similar. You can base on this.
Tested on 4.84.2 HFW With HAN installed
