I can't find anything online actually telling you how to begin programming with PS3 games. There's a currently-being-created YT tutorial on aldostools' manager, but it's not yet finished and in general a YT video. I don't even know where to start in this area. Any help here?

Depending on what you’re wanting to do. If you want to make homebrew you’ll need an SDK. You can look here for info on the SCEI PS3 SDK & here for the open source SDK PSL1GHT.
To make mods for games is something that can be a little hard to explain because games are different.
This isn't really what you asked about but if you really want to learn these two links will be a big help. https://www.psx-place.com/threads/t...g-up-development-debugging-environment.13287/ https://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/

Sorry I can't give you a better answer but I think the links I posted should give you a good start.

Happy to help. If you have any questions be sure to ask. Everyone is normally pretty helpful when someone is trying to learn something new.
