    Hey

    i recently bought a PSV 2000

And i'm wondering if anyone managed to get rid off the status bar's black background, since its very annoying.

Is there a plugin that patches it? or any rco tool to us edit it?

which bar are you referring to? are you talking about the bar that appears in the top right hand corner, like if you're downloading something? I haven't done any testing on rco stuff, but I have a great deal of experience manipulating the livearea and the app.db, so I'm not sure if I can help.

No one remove it because it is inside RCO. And I don't see any rebuilder, only unpacker (who knows, maybe it is signed, I didn't check myself).

@pinky Databases are not a place for any kind of resources, only meta data to show it immediately, and eliminate potential I/O load in case of many elements to read from fs. Also I didn't saw that Sony placing there anything beyond text. ;]

I know. I was just pointing out that that's what I've messed with on the system.

PlayStation Vita doesn't seem to have a transparent Status Bar, but the PlayStation TV has a transparent status bar, regardless of the colour change (thats at least on my systems, didn't do any modifications, everything stock).

Oh nice i just saw some ps vita tv videos on youtube, and it is truly transparent,
So a simple rco swap could be enough?

@pinky @Berion @Naked_Snake1995 can you guys try it?, because i lend it to my cousing till the end of the next week =S.

it would be nice, because the top bar looks like an old 2.3 gingerbread android phone

I am on vacations, so ill resume in September, not to mention i can't use my PSVITA anymore, since a kid of my relative though it would be fun to play Minecraft, little did he known he updated my 2000 PSV to 3.71 so i lost HENKAKU in the process, since i always make a backup of my VITA Games, makes the thing more portable, now i am stuck with a paperweight till the 3.71 HENKAKU comes out, the PS TV is still on HENKAKU 3.65 so no harm done.

Sorry, but I cannot risking system restoration as this is very annoying and time consuming task on PSV/PSTV.

I haven't really messed with rco files on the system. I've mostly messed around with the app.db, appmeta, id.dat, registry and some of the default apps, like cma, in which I installed the dex version. with the shell.self (vsh) being debug, cma becomes incredibly unstable. I was trying to get it to where I could transfer over just saves with qcma, which the debug version allows for, instead of the game and save. I was never able to find the debug shell.self.
