    SACD RIPPER TUTORIAL

    first get the package sacd_ripper_3.55-to-4.**_v0.38
    http://multiman.deanbg.com/multiman/feed/app/sacd-ripper.pkg
    right click on the above link and select "save target as" and change the .htm extension to .pkg
    or get it via joonies link

    if you dont have it then get jesus's iso2dsd tool. it uses Mr.Wicked's SACD_EXTRACT tool
    its alot easer to use. select SONY DSF if you want to package it as DSD (like @deank did in this thread with his DSD_TEST.
    http://www.sonore.us/iso2dsd.html

    there is also dsd2flac i have no idea if flac is a good medium to extract to. perhaps you can shed some light?
    http://www.sonore.us/dsd2flac.html

    Custom Firmware's

    REBUG 4.81.2 get the latest from rebug.me
    @habib starbucks4.81 firmware from HERE
    @FERROX FERROX 4.81 firmware from HERE or check the latest on his site HERE
    now the guide in simple images. this is done very basic with the idea you have never been on a custom firmware or a rebug firmware before so don't be offended with its simplicity

    These settings are needed to play your SACD Disk direct from the music column and DSD ripped Media mounted with multiman

    @baileyscream

    SACD won't be mounted on DEBUG VSH on 4.XX I'm not sure about 3.55

    swap your vsh to retail then it should show. by the way I can compile SACD Ripper too

    @baileyscream

    you're confusing me. Are both 37 and 38 working on 3.55 or not?

    Are you familiar with XMB Operation Mode?

    Try this pkg see if it makes any difference, and please disable COBRA mode

    oh that one works :)
    [IMG]
    on rebug 4.81.2
    should this one work on all 3.55 - 4.81 as i will go back to 3.55 tomorrow and then make my way up them

    btw where were the new offsets
    i re-signed the tool last year to work on the latst firmware at that time but couldnt find where the offsets were on the wiki. i gave up after a month of searching.
    i really wanted to use this tool to learn but hit a wall :(

    It should work on all REBUG 3.55-4.81 I am not sure about other CFWs , at least it should work on HABIB,ROGERO,and FERROX

    Your previous test, was done while COBRA was on?

    I only removed installing syscall 6,7,8,9,10 from @deank's code.

    He made some changes for improved detection and removing existing codes to decrypt encrypted modules since he attached decrypted modules in the pkg.

    I haven't asked if I'm allowed to share his changes on public or not

    By the way,I have a feeling it might've been ok if you disabled COBRA without using mine.

    no this is a freshly downgraded console today
    i used rogero 999 downgrader > 3.55 ofw > full system restore > rebug 3.55v4 (no toolbox. just installed the firmware ) >test: orig 0.37 worked deanks 0.38 wont > rebug 4.81.2 (no toolbox. just installed the firmware) > test:0.38 not working, notice music column not detecting sacd > ferrox 4.81 (sacd would play. still the ripper did not work) > back to rebug 4.81.2 (and installed the toolbox to do the system mode and XMB Operation Mode) test joonie's 0.38 works
    no other settings made. everything standard

    Major credits are for @deank I only did a little tweak on it. I have a feeling syscall 15 may have been the issue for installing syscalls

    @baileyscream would you mind testing once more on rebug 4.81.1 with @deank 's original 0.38?

    Because REBUG 4.81.1 doesn't include syscall 15 (COBRA 7.31 however installs it)

    OK, Then I guess that installing syscall part is somehow bugged I assume... which I think it's weird, because it does fine job on multiMAN [Multiman installs these syscalls on all FW in case some devs release CFW without syscall 6 7 8 9 and 10, just like kmeaw one]

    if you launched the multiman before you ran the sacd ripper, I don't think it matters.

    Anyways thanks for the test, and @deank please review the change that works.

    I only commented

    Code:
