Are you running both plugins in one time?

Try going to that address on ps3, then reinstall webman mod. Keep in mind this gonna delete all settings related to webman mod.

    127.0.0.1/delete.ps3?uninstall

Sounds like a file created by a Windows .scr virus which replicates itself on connected drives including network drives..
Screensaver binary file format is a common way to infect a PC, often attached to an email...

Replication strategies can lead to the file being copied everywhere or just in specific places. There's no way to tell without reverse engineering the file.
It could look for your hdds or any existing connection like ftp, smb, pop. Its could also be renamed when it finds a valid target & use legit system file names to avoid discovery. You might have it on your PC & not know..
Check if the file size is constant...
It would be good to know whether the file gets detected by your AV. Maybe you should scan your PC with a AV anyway

@Coldlm , if u need any help with the 360 such as opening the system, controller, or hdd, feel free to ask. I've not opened a slim though since I don't own one. I know a fair bit about the system. it's where I started from before the ps3 scene.

You have it also on PC, and probably on every hdd/usb that you got. You see it only on ps3 because looking at ps3 file system you can see also hidden files. Probably if you turn on "system & hidden" files on pc, you will see many of it.

To fix this use one of/ both of linux based rescue anti virus (run from bios) with connected all possible drives:

    @bguerville @kozarovv

I remember when i was looking around the PS3's HDD, about my second problem (PSN messed up), I copied the folder friendim to my PC, just to see if i can change something or do something about it, that file Photo.scr was already on there, Advanced SystemCare Ultimate picked up on it, and blocked it so im sure i don't have the file on my PC,

    Thanks for the feedback guys

ur welcome. I've opened all of them including the battery packs several time. the battery packs r two glorified double A batteries with a logic board attached. in my first 360 tutorial, I describe how u can recharge them or rather deplete them with a paper clip. this is sometimes necessary when the battery pack won't charge. they're notorious for that....cheap Microsoft garbage. speaking of which, the receiver's u plug into ur laptop - those were discontinued because MS didn't want to fix the problem which I believe is one solder joint near the power light. I've never done that one either since mine have worked perfectly ever since I bought. yes, I have two - a white one and a black one. :-p I'm currently using a wii u receiver for my pro controller of which I have two - again a white and a black one. I use the white one on my laptop and the black one with my wii u. ;) anyway, I can also help with the 360 apps if u need it. I may know more about the 360 than the ps3 despite my ps3 tutorials being about 127 pages long. I've just been out-of-the-loop for about a year or more, so I don't know much about ps3 plugins, webman mod, sman, or the vsh menu.

Ahh, I got nailed with that photo.scr worm a while back from having the PS3 in DMZ and sman not having a configurable password for ftp access making it an easy online target. Nasty stuff.

Be on the lookout for photo.scr, images.scr, information.vbe, IMG001.scr and info.zip from memory.

I ended up doing a fsm downgrade to wipe the flash / hard drive and starting fresh to be completely rid of it.

Yeah, I linked my original post from when it happened at the bottom of the post you just quoted. :)

Filled every folder on the hard drive and flash it could find.
Caused some pretty random issues once flash was completely full, that's for sure!

I don't believe I've got it. I'm checking my external hdd since it's hooked up to my laptop right now....backing it up after losing both a ps3 and a 360 hdd (not at the same time though). that could explain the op's random issues especially with being thrown into the recovery menu suddenly.

I remember ur issue. but I don't remember responding. lol

Yeah, It caused me all sorts of headaches.

The hdd being full of the junk files was one thing, but dev_flash having absolutely 0 free space caused some weird and wonderful behavior.

iirc, NOR consoles should have around 3.5MBs free. that's the kind of console the op has, so maybe he should check that first or look for those malicious files.

yeah, it didn't find anything named photo.scr .
