Update (v1.47.27 - 20200517) since the initial release of webMAN MOD v1.47.27 @aldostools has made huge improvements to the plugin with these latest revisions to v1.47.27.The developer is adding alot of new functionality to the plugin and has some big announcements in the latest changes. See UPDATED changelog and also quote from developer Aldostools himself about the latest progress provided to the PS3 Plugin in this latest update
(Original Article) Developer @aldostools whom recently updated IRISMAN for 4.86 Support (& more) has also updated the popular plugin webMAN MOD to version 1.47.27 with support for 4.86 firmware. That has not been the only changes provided to the webMAN MOD plugin. For instance, If you are transferring files via FTP that information will be displayed in the Temperature Monitoring page (from a networked connected broswser: your ps3ip/cpursx.ps3). The plugin has some other additional features and fixes provided in this update marked in the changelog provided below.

webMAN MOD is a fork of @deank's original webMAN. Dean's version is solid and provides a great experience on its own and provides a great foundation to webMAN MOD which started out as a collection of mods and the developer Aldostool's really took over the fork's development and provided many new features / support and takes the plugin into modern times. Both are great options provided by great developer's and to get a bit of insight on their development perspective be sure to checkout our recent interviews of both of these developer's deank (vol.1) and also Aldostools in (vol. 3) from our Power Supply Series

you need retroarch to play them. you only need to use webman for starting games if you want to pick the game you want to play and launch it without opening retroarch first.

      :cheese:Big Announcement::chicken:
In the latest days the webMAN MOD suite of tools have achieved various important milestones:
1- Now it's possible to play games stored in exFAT / NTFS / FAT32 / NET and internal HDD using prepISO (exFAT / NTFS)
2- ps3netsrv now supports listing/mounting the content of multiple directories in a single folder.
This expands the ability to merge the content from multiple sources / folders / servers.
3- ROMS now can be played directly from remote servers (RetroArch + ps3netsrv)
4- ROMS now show the name, icons & background when mounted
5- New ability to execute SELF applications via PKG/ROM Launcher
6- New ability to limit the maximum fan speed to stop the "Jet" noise caused by the dynamic fan control.
7- Extended the PKG/ROM Launcher support for new RetroArch emulators

And today we can celebrate a new achievement after years of research and tests! :lock::pineapple:

PSPISO games now can be mounted and played directly from NTFS devices and from ps3netsrv without need to copy the ISO locally.

This is a tremendous accomplishment, because it not only saves time to the user.
It also saves the precious disk space in HDD0!! And eliminates the duplicated game listing that resulted of the copy.

Enjoy all the new features! :chewie:

The PS2CONFIG are updated too with the latest releases from @kozarovv @mrjaredbeta @sandungas and others contributors.

The package in the release page gets updated from time to time, but the minor updates are normally included in the latest installer.

Changing language affects only the first entry “webman games” and the option “include the is as a part of the title of the game” seems to have no effect.

you may need to refresh games for the titles to change.

      wow , great job.!
so we have now a full supprt for ntfs?
can we Browse files easly? or just mount on certin files like PSXISO .. etc.

i tried simple nfile manager and IRisMan 4.86.2
i am still unable to navigate or browse files inside ntfs hdd.

i dont use ntfs with ps3 so i may be wrong, but i think you have to run prepISO (formally called prepNTFS) first then use a file manager. and i think if you add or delete/move/rename files then you have to run prepISO again.

Me too I converted to MBR in order to use my NTFS hard disk with PS3 (now successfully works [emoji41] )
You can follow, for example, this guide, in order to convert your hard disk from GPT to MBR:
      https://www.diskpart.com/gpt-mbr/convert-gpt-to-mbr-without-data-loss-using-command-prompt.html
Obviously you must follow the Without data loss part, if you don't want to format the device.

Hi folks. I'm having trouble launching roms from Webman with the Roms Package Launcher. I just get kicked back to the xmb, can launch the games fine from Retroarch.

Have a slim PS3 with latest Rebug 4.86.1 Lite CFW, latest webman 1.47.27, Retroarch 1.85.

I've put the roms (in their usual zip formats) in /dev_hdd0/ROMS/SNES and /dev_hdd0/ROMS/NES and I can see them in Webman after a refresh of the games list. They load the disk icon when selected/loaded, but then kick me back to the xmb after 3-4 seconds of black screen when I select the disk icon to play them.

I do have ★/app_home/PS3_GAME/ showing in the xmb as recommended.

I've played with settings all afternoon, uninstalled, reinstalled, so I have done a fair bit of fault finding and research, but am now asking for some help from the experts.

      Thanks for any advice offered.

I've also rebuilt the PS3 database.

If possible, a step by step guide would be awesome as I reckon I've tried everything I can think of and I'm sure it's something small I'm missing.
